+1 moreover the signal strength, and call quality is better in huawei as they are first in to cell phone tower and Telcom signal related things before manufacturing phones

from what i know there are only a few manufacturers which provide cell phone equipment.

those are motorola, Ericsson, ZTE, huawei, alcatel etc.(left out some since some shut shop i think)

so the products from them are as good as industry standard.

I dont know but I read some where it was sold out in just 5 minutes on Snapdeal. Micromax have hit the nail.

Micromax has surely captured the Indian market,it seems like it cannot take any wrong step at the moment.any idea about how the brand is faring in the export market?

their presence wont be as pronounced internationally since many other manufacturers are taking the same route locally.

same product under a different brand name sourced from the same OEM.

ok well i think the big players invests so much in Research and Development so obviously to cover up the cost they have high profit margins.

the chinese companies simply copies the existing technology and therefore less prices.

correct me if i'm wrong. but it seems legit.

Many factors. Samsung and Sony brand itself demands some premium. Plus some of the parts used in MMX and Celkon are not of that high quality.

For eg, Say camera, it may be 8 Megapixel but what is the vendor of those cameras? The type of plastic material used to make body. quality of screws used. These are just few things. there are lot many things included.

But main thing here is premium demanded on the goodwill of the company. Sony, LG, Samsung, Apple, etc.

It is the same if, Mercedes comes out with FIAT's MJD, it would still start from 15-20 lacs as compared to FIAT itself, TATA and Maruti.

+100, yes apart from brand image or good will the real factors about the less price of mmx,lava,celkon are

1. They give you 8MP, but the camera quality or reliability in question after some time
2. The touch screen brand and reliability
3. Battery brand and reliability and safety
4. processor brand and reliability
5. The built quality is not upto the mark

All these issues will crop up after using it for 6 to 8 months as I have seen it many cases. But all the masses are only interested

1. Low price
2. Big screen
3. Big battery
4. Big camera and a secondary one too
6. the processor capacity and not brand
7. the OS

So all of them will just think of the above and see the price difference between these phones and reputed brands and buy them, so this is how these companies are capturing the market

Rather than those bench marks and figures presented on the net, I already has some live experience of MMX few phones, but I cannot rule out that these new ones may be good who knows

In that case, you have to with Micromax mobiles. Some of mobiles of Micromax are good with its applications. Also it is less underdog in the market.
