Equipment
1. 1x washing mitt
2. 3x Microfibre cloth
3. 2x buckets
4. Meguiar's Car shampoo
5. 1x Colin glass cleaner
6. Collinite 845 (for waxing the car)
7. Meguiar's Quick Detailer (to maintain the just-waxed look)
I first pre-soak my car with water and if there is dried dirt or bird gung, I spray some shampoo on it and let it soak.
Fill the first bucket with shampoo diluted in water and the other with clean water.
Soak the mitt in the first bucket and wash the car panel by panel, each time cleaning the mitt in the second bucket before proceeding to the next panel (it keeps the grit out of the mitt and helps prevent swirls). Keep changing the water in the second bucket once it becomes too dirty.
After washing the entire car and the alloys (done with an old microfibre cloth I have), I dry the car using a clean, dry microfibre.
I clean the glass with the Colin glass cleaner, using a new, fresh microfibre cloth.
Then using another microfibre (folded into a quarter), I apply Collinite using one side and buff it using the other.
Keeps my car clean and shiny.
I get rid of the dust by running my Jopasu duster lightly over it.
I use the QD every week to keep up the glossy look.
Interiors
1. 1x Microfibre
2. 1x Vacuum cleaner (the one I use at home)
3. Leather wipes my girl brought from America for the leatherette
4. Dashboard polish (I use it alternate weeks as it can get too shiny at times)
First take out the rubber mats and use dish washing liquid to clean it. Now I've got fake 3D mats which I clean with a wet cloth.
I first use the vacuum cleaner to get rid of all the dust and what-not from the seats and centre console (the area where the handbrake and gearlever are housed) and floor.
Then wet the microfibre and clean the dashboard. Get rid of all the dust from the dash and the door pads.
Then spray the dash polish and wipe it down.
Clean the leatherette using the leather cleaning wipes.
I only clean the tyres with the car shampoo. No polish on the tyres as it won't last a single day.
