How Did You Discover TAI?

BTW do all of you who came here via Orkut still visit? I do go there sometimes specially for phone related topics. Some of the threads still have a lot of useful information. The Enfield communities have a lot of info if you need. The iPhone community is still very active. Illango I remember was a active member in the Omni community I think. I see TAI updates on FB. We should share links on Google+ too so more people can join.

Actually I was visiting other forum for almost 1 year and never had an intension of joining but when i wanted to join I was rejected. I thought i might missed something for joining and didn't give a chance again for another year and tried again, this time it was in a very proper way ( as they have told ) but rejected again. got frustrated and was searching for something else when I found TAI. Got impressed in first visit and straight away joining it, and am enjoying my stay here.
PS: completely stopped visiting the other forum after joining here

Exactly same is the story with me. I started searching for the Indian car forums after I got my own personal car 5 years back and I think I too got all hooked to the same forum you talking about (don't want to take the name). Never had the intention of joining the forum as I am more of a silent admirer but once had some issues with my car and wanted the suggestion so thought about becoming a registered member. The official registration process ask you to write lots of essay type answers with word limits, still somehow did all the writing and stuff. The greatest shock came when after a month got a mail from the moderators of the forum that my membership wan't approved. Got all frustrated and never visited the forum again. Came across TAI and now I am totally hooked to the forum infact I open TAI page before my facebook page and what an amazing stay it has been in TAI. Cheers

+1 to Amit, I don't want to mention the forum name here, I've been reading lot of stuff there & lapping up info, however when I wanted to ask queries I didn't have login, tried to register twice got rejected. I got fed up & after about 6 months I thought of searching for forums online where I can post queries & found this one on Mouthshut.com in one of the other forums bashing thread! Signed up immediately but had a scare Yahoo was not letting me open my mailbox to complete registration but eventually it budged & here I am finally sharing my enthusiasm for Cars & bikes with you all

I was googling on the location of Lewis Hamilton F1 road show here in Bangalore
so I wanted to know where on NICE road it was being held,thats when I came across this forum & I joined in after some days where I found an interesting topic on cheating at petrol pumps!
So I was skeptic thinking I wont get membership on this forum as almost all automobile forums seem to send automated messages saying that we should send request later so I am glad I got in here on the first req,
every evening our group of friends sit at a cafe & discuss cars & other topics so it was nice to join in a forum like TAI.

Yes Mukeshus it was of great help as nice road was huge & there was no info on where it was held,was a bit disappointed about the show though,I felt our Bangalore crowd really needed to see the car on full chant rather than sound like some sports bike as it was not even close to race tune. The duration of the f1 car run was also too small.

Lets hope to spread the joy of engines to all,I am glad to participate in this forum.

Okay my story of discovering TAI.

It was May 2011 when myself and dad was crazy about the Venture, was just performing image search in google, got a chance to see silver Venture being TDed by Akash, so clicked the pic and there was a review in the background, so immediately came to this site, saw the whole review and lot of good pictures added, next what? Register and put up my first basic question: Can find it here:

So afterwards i found the reviews coming up with many gaps, in the mid September i got to TD the first Venture in Bangalore so snapped some photos and started sharing it here, from then i was actively participating in the forum till today.

Mine is as strange as all of the members. I was searching for Scale model of 370Z and somewhere caught the image of some members Avatar (370Z if I am not wrong). Then got to the forum and kept reading for almost two months and found it was great to join.

Another coincidence is I share by Birth date with the Birth date (launch date) of "our forum" (hate calling "this forum" after I joined).

It's been a wonderful journey since then. I love to be on the Forum at all times, however, sometimes I could not login for days/weeks due to work.

Ah,how I missed this thread?But no issues,better late then never..

Well,mine is a long story..
Once I joined a forum which needed some moderation thing and got banned.
BTW,I won't mention but there were some reasons which forced me to show extremely rude attitude to the mods itself,result:I was banned.(That time I wasn't TSi).
After that I haven't made any attempts.

Then joined another forum and an arrogant mod banned me again,after that spent about 6 months on the forum and made some 1000+ but never got attached to the forum due to its in-activeness.

Then one day I just saw this forum and ignored the very same time and after a day I got a PM from our dear AMG and just joined and wrote introduction for a trail and man,that was the day and this is the day..I AM NOW AN ADDICT.
Mods are really very very helpful,in fact the best I have came across till date and same is with members..

About 6-7 months back, I was sailing on Australian coast and Far east ports. While in Australia I had access to internet even miles away from the coast (thanks to yes optus boost connection). It was during this time I decided to buy a sedan. Net being the only gateway, I started searching on net. At that time I cam across TAI. And it helped me a lot.
After I came back home, I booked my car. While waiting for my car, I started studying the forum. And when I felt the urge to reply to certain posts, I became a member here.
There are few other good forums as well. But what sets TAI apart is that here, we have a learning atmosphere. We learn here. I have learnt a lot.

And i found what i was looking for in TAI and immediately i signed up for TAI.Now i am quite used to it. Thanks TAI for providing me all abt the Cars. :)
