No problem. We can make it 15th and 16th.
Why no updates from last evening? I think we have to tighten the thread, finalize and go ahead with booking to avoid last minute disappointment on accommodation as the requirement is bulk.

I had been to Yercaud on April this year.
Apart from the fact its a mini hill station, the places to stay there are quite costly. Please avoid the TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu for night stay as the rooms are quite shabby and they do not have full DG back up.

Yes, 15th and 16th will be a good option.
My opinion: Since this is very short meet (just one night), should we really need to bother about the sight seeing. If we go to Yercaud, the families will get disappointed, if you do not take them to all sight seeing places.

I feel that HH is calm place (as said by many) will allow us to get to know each other and have fun in one place, instead of travelling here and there. And of-course the families will also get company to play and talk. And moreover HH will be a new place for many, I believe.

This is just my opinion, I am okay for both the place.

@Sethu, please count me in 1+2.

Great Point Skay. Well thought. However, the feedback on HH isn't any great. The least expected is lush greenery and misty/cold weather... If even that's missing, then it can't be a hill station. I never have been to HH, but what I mentioned is based on information from others who had been there.

Sight Seeing - Neither Yercaud has too much to see. Like any other Hill Station, it has few view points and an artificial lake for boating. I think, Thursday Evening (Sunset) and Friday Morning (Sunrise) would be sufficient enough, if one want to go out to any view points.

Just my opinion.

Wow, I like this. The thread is coming alive again after couple of days. But where are the others. Need to finalize the place by tomorrow evening.

Hope every one will accept it.

Good point. Boating would be a nice idea.
Grange Resort in Yercaud offers off-road adventures. Please see the link for more details. I am sure many will like this sport.
Last time when I went there, I missed this event. I was driving from some view point towards Yercaud, saw this trial and stopped to check. I was very interested to take a ride, but they said 'Credit/Debit cards not accepted, Cash only'. I was running short of cash, and left the place with a disappointment. [frustration]

Why can't we keep Yelagiri in option ?
Never been to this place. How is this place compared to Yercaud. Can anyone share your experience about this place.

I had been to both these places, no much difference to mention. Perhaps, Yelagiri is much more smaller compared to Yercaud.

Yelagiri is a very small place, yet to develop, you won't feel its a hill station rather. The important spots are - lake and a park. Yercaud 100 meters more elevated than Yelagiri from SL, 1515 mtrs.
