I've booked Jazz Select UT and expected delivery date is 24th October.
I've done lot of testing and comparison with Swift, Polo, Punto, i20 etc, but at the end of it, nothing like Jazz. Its a class apart.

Hello fellow Jazz Owners, I am new to this forum. I booked Jazz Select, Alabaster Silver on August 29th. The dealer at that time promised a delivery by October 2nd week. Now, the dealer says, it may take another 2-3 months to arrive. The booking slip shows delivery within 3 months. I really don't want to go for another car since i zeroed in on Jazz after 2 months of research and now that I already waited on Jazz for almost 2 months.

What are my options to deal with the dealer? Please help.

First of all welcome aboard Manojneelu. What is the reason for additional delay? You can write/complain to Honda directly if the reason does not sound reasonable.

The dealer is showing indifference to my inquiries and is not giving any time-line for expected delivery. They are citing production delays due to floods in Thailand. Is that really true? I was not expecting such an attitude from Honda. They should understand that dealership experience is equally important. They seem to be getting it all wrong once again, this time on customer service front.

I booked my Jazz on 3rd September 2011 and the delivery is expected on 24th October.

This means that i'm getting the car delivery in 50 days approx, unlike most of the delays you guys are facing.

I've booked Jazz from Shaman Motors in Bhandup and they have been very proactive at their follow-up and service so far. Fingers crossed.

manojneelu, Your dealer made false promise to you at the time of booking. Why am I saying this because I booked on 28-Aug and I verified delivery dates with at least 3-4 dealers in NCR region, none was commiting before Dec. So your dealer must be aware of this but didn't tell you to get the booking done. I can only say that have patience, keep pinging the dealer and don't let dealer's cheating bar you from owning one of the best premium hatchbacks globally.

SedateDriver, yes, my heart says Jazz too, but such dealers are spoiling the party for Honda. Anyway, Honda will it be for me...

Btw, which one did you book?

I've booked Honda Select model - Urban titanium on 8th Oct'11. Dealer asure that he will try to deliver the same by Dec end or may be it can be delayed on Jan'12. As Jazz was my all time dream. will wait till jan ;-)

Booking amount 1L.also they have mentioned in receipt that if cancellation any time, total money will be refund.. no cancellation charges will be charged.

Only corporate discount will be given 5K. approx. 6.4 L total.

Yes. That’s true. Most of the Honda models spare parts are sourced from Thailand facility. So it will affect the supply in Indian market.
