Did you fit the 24x SMD LED panel inside the bulb casing? because as per my research, 24x SMD LED panel is big to fit inside or atleast in my 2009 model ANHC's.

Can you please post pictures of how you have fitted it?

Thanks...

Thanks alfa alfa.
Yes antenna is 100% active with same function like OEM antenna on the car.
I got it from Aliexpress.com as stated in the Dr MUDHAN thread. I am giving you the link of the product which will give you all the ideas for price and colors.
Newest design special car With blank radio shark fin antenna signal shark fin with 3M adhesive for VW polo Bora-in Special Store from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com
I feel strange on sellers description, because the url says "dummy" and the product description says "This Shark Fin Antenna is only for car decoration purpose." but also says "it can enhance the signal". Strange mentioning by Chinese sellers lol. :D

Of course, product doesn't seems dummy as it has got wire and antenna inside. Anyways, how is the signal strength compared to original antenna?

Thanks...
Best Regards

Exactly, It's big for bulb casing so I have removed whole casing and stick led panel in the boot. I'll upload pics in the evening.

It's not Dummy, It is 100% working product and the reception is like original one. I didn't feel any difference in signal strength, not improved nor reduce.

Ah, thats what I thought. The only panel that I found seems fit-able in bulb casing is 18 x 5630 SMD LED panel Link. Sizes 2.2 x 4.3cm. I have already ordered the item, Will let you know if it really fits in.

Thats great. Will see if I can buy it. [:)]

Installation of SMD panel is fine but if that area gets heated when you keep the car under sun light, the double sided sticker gets unstick and the panel hangs. So you should either opt for original 3M double sided tape or stick the panel where it doesn't get heated (i.e under rear deck?).

Panels inside interior lamp casing are looking great. Fully covered lol [clap]

Thanks for the pics...

Not mention bro..

Thanks for suggesting and will look for that but mostly my car is park in the shadow so I don't think it'll be problem for me. And I am doubtful for the stock wire length as it's very short to reach under rear deck.

While purchasing that SMD I didn't know that, while fixing that problem arise so removed whole cover. [evil]
I don't have idea about the Brio's boot light. If it's same then you have to do same to fit that SMD else you can consider small SMD.

Hi Bro,

1 final doubt: If i removing the full cover, do i have to worry about the bulb size?

I am planning to get the 24smd kit like you did on eBay , but i'm slightly concerned about the bulb casing size?

Since i have a brio, i am not very confident if the smd kit will fit properly. Also, will the lights come on as soon as you open the boot lid?[confused]

Nope, you don't have to. SMD panels will be having double sided adhesive, just stick it to the metal surface. You have three options to connect the power supply for it.

1. Don't remove the existing bulb casing, just plug the T10 adapter came with SMD panel and route its wire from the bulb casing to outside and connect the SMD panel. But I don't know if its gonna work on your brio. No warranty issues.

2. Unplug the existing bulb casing, diy a plug/connector for the existing power plug and on side either use the adapter wires came with smd panel or use the smd panel wire. Will have warranty issues.

3. Unplug the existing bulb casing, strip the existing power wires and tap either the adapter wire that came with smd panel or the smd panel wire. Will have warranty issues.

SMDs, LEDs glow faster then halogen, incandescent, hid and etc gas/filament based bulbs but I'm telling about nano seconds. [;)]

If you wanna fit the panel inside the bulb casing and casing is same as our Honda City's; It has got 24 mm x 44 mm max area inside. So this SMD panel is gonna fit. It has got 5630 x 18 SMDs which is brighter then 5050 that is present in 24 SMD panel so I believe it will be brighter if not same as 24 SMD panel. Unfortunately the same panel isn't available in India so you have to buy from HK. I have ordered the panel last month and might receive this month end.

BTW; you have hatchback so I don't think you need much light. You can buy a T10 SMD led bulb and plug it. Go for 5050, 5630 or 5730 SMD based bulbs since they are brighter and throw more light. Just measure the size inside the bulb causing and the buy the bulb which is gonna fit. i.e 5050 x 9 SMD India or 5630 x 9 SMD HK. You will get two so keep one as spare. :)

Thanks...
Best Regards

You can adopt all those process for fitting which are suggested by CRACING. And for you I have given a link of video which shows the boot light when its open and closed.

Honda City iVTEC Boot SMD LED - YouTube

CRACING, You have mentioned in last two suggestions that It may create warranty issues, may I know why so. I understand any stock configuration change is affects on warranty but sake of curiosity I want to know as no cutting and slicing involved in any methods.

Today had 1st paid service for the car which is minor service includes general check up. No oil change done as running is low.

As usual the experience form Honda is five star no space for complaint in the servicing except the charges which they charge. The bill for General checks and washing is RS. 2140.
