My Brio's Window washer fluid is over , i asked few friends , some one said plain water is good enough , another said add Colin or shampoo to water , Maruti car owner said that Maruti provides 20 RS sachet which can be mixed with water advised me to use that , i could like to know from Brio owners what are they using currently ?

Do i have to check Radiator for coolant level and if yes what type of coolant should be used , i guess Engine coolant in Brio last 200000 km if i am not mistaken . Advice will be appreciated
Hi Coldfire,

You can use plain water, but its better if you use some kind of cleaning agent.
I use Sonax windshield concentrate. This needs to be mixed with water 1:1000 . I think it costs around 300.00 and should be available in any accessory shop. Looks like this.
Sonax Windshield Cleaner Concentrate - 250 ml Bottle

Yes the coolent as per Honda should last upto 2 lac Kms. Which is a long long time, so don't worry about it!

plain tap water is ok , you can also add few drops of colin which basically reduces the amount of condensation formed in wintery /rainy days. since you are in Goa, plain water should suffice.

I am planning to buy seat covers (PU leather) for my Honda Brio, Rallye Red color (Exterior), Beige + Dark Brown (Interior). Can you suggest the color combination of the seat covers that I should consider and what should be the expected cost of the covers. I visited one of the shops in my area and he is quoting 5300/-. Also please suggest any good shops in Bangalore North area where I can visit for seat covers.

I went with filtered water with colin since many car owners are happy with this too , since i had no idea what is the right combination, but i think if any one is considering this option then use 150ml Colin with distilled or filtered water , do i have to check Regulator level too ??

Friends what is the top speed you have achieved in your BRIO. I have touched Max 60 [;)] in city. Till date not taken on highway, hoping to do that sooner.

For the initial run in period 60 is good.A few stints on the expressway is good once the run in is done.

Once you have clocked the initial 1000kms and have done your first oil change you can drive at higher speeds. The higher speeds will burn of excess carbon.

Remember to know your limits and the limits of your car and drive safe.

Hey Manish,

I have my Brio for more than a year now.

The max I have touched is 145 + . This was on Bangalore - Goa run. The roads were really good and I wanted to stretch as much as I could. The car reached almost 150, may be a tinge lower, but does not go beyond that!

This was with 3 people on board and some luggage.

WooWW!! Sudeep[:)], How much mileage you are getting in city drive and on highway. Have you checked the accuracy of MID w.r.t. fuel efficiency[;)].

I am getting around 14-15 without A.C. But i feel i can get more because i get stuck in between most of the times as i am newbie in driving[drive].

A small question here, how does the car steering feel at that speed ?? Is the car stable at that speed > 120 ??

I had heard someone say (he was an expert), colin should be used only on the glasses. If used on the car body, it gradually tends to fade your car colour. As a result of which you should wax it again.
Meguiars car wash is what that guy had recommended. I had noted it down[;)]
