- Drive at safe speeds, seat belts on!
- Check your wiper blades, tyre threads, brake pads before the downpour
- Add glass cleaner / shampoo in the wiper wash, b'coz chances are high for oil layer to be formed on windshield, hence this will make it clean and clear for a little while
- Get underbody cleaned and apply diesel (service stations do this) / opt for 3M antirust treatment. Get the whole car water / diesel serviced once in a month atleast. And opt to get all windows cleaned with shampoo depending on usage of vehicle, even if cars is being water washed everyday by the watchman
- In case your moving through water logged area, and if the level is high enough for water to enter the exhaust pipe, make sure to move through the stretch at slow speed, with continous acceleration. This would make sure water doesnt enter the exhaust
- If car doesnt have defogger, and windows become foggy, then turn air to fresh intake, ac vent to windscreen and blower on full speed for a couple of mins. This would take care of it
- During low visibility / heavy dowpour, turn on park light + fog lights, along with hazard indicators
