5. Installed 3M Anti-glare sheet on front glass.

Thanks.

Hi Inian,

Seats look amazing. I too own an Amaze S iDtec. Constantly Looking for DIYs. But so far only done with horn upgrade. [clap]
Bought an armrest from ebay and wanted to DIY. However dont know how to drill the wholes and dont want to mess up. [frustration]

How did they do in your car ? Did they remove complete seats when installing that or did they just remove the plastic cup holder part and installed the armrest and put back the cup holder later ?

Would you please let me know if you have any idea on this.

Also please provide me the link of side body protectors which you bought from Snapdeal. I/m unable to find the ones that are installed in your car.
Done DIY on arm rest.

I just removed the plastic cup holder which is fixed with just 3 screws. Also had to remove the gear knob to pull the holder up. Drilled holes by measuring with scale on both sides and fixed the armrest.

Inian,

How did you change the color of the armrest ?

Hey inian,
Great to see your mods in the amaze.
I need your advice, i have purchased a similar Pioneer HU as your's.
The trouble is the grille covering the gap between HU and Dashboard provided by the Accessory guy is not proper is not fitting properly.
Can you tell me from where have you sourced the grille.
Thanks

Reputed brands like scosche makes 2DIN installation kits/ fascia for HUs but they are hard to find in India. I had faced a similar problem as yours. I have seen installation kit by DHC India installed in an amaze with almost stock finish. You may call them up and get contact details of their local reseller at your place. I think what I have in my Brio at present is this model, though I didn't buy it from ebay.

Hey Lameassonwheels,
Thanks for the info.
I tried fitting the DHC frame into my car but the gap between the HU-Frame- dashboard after fitment was so prominent that I could easily the clamps fitted to the HU.
It really looked ugly, many suggested the DHC frame but in my case the frame had some manufacturing defect hence was not fitting to the dashboard perfectly so I returned it.
I have fitted a frame soured from another accessory guy but not really satisfied with it. Some guys suugested making a wooden frame also, do you think it would help?
Can you post a pic of your HU with the frame?
Thanks in advance.

Wooden frame?. There were MDF frames some people used in old cars, but I haven't seen anyone using wooden frames in new gen cars. Lets see any fellow members have another opinion. You can find my HU with frame in this thread. It doesn't look any great but not ugly either.

Hii all,
great reviews from all.....
I plan to buy amaze diesel.
I have seen the S MT version but the music system(as I want a Bluetooth calling facility) and rear arm rest(as in closed condition it is really uncomfortable seating for the 5th person) is not required to me hence I am planning to buy E MT version.

Please guide if the rear seating is better without the arm rest provision, as the sales guy at the showroom told that, in absence of the armrest also the seating will be same.(someone owning E MT or EX MT will be able to comment on the same)

Thanks

Hey Guys,
I am a proud owner of Honda Amaze SMT - Cng Version. [:)]
Have already clocked 10500 Kms in last 8 Months.
However i am seeing a niggle in the driving experience. Everytime i clock speeds above 100 kmph the car seems wobbly; it feels like its not properly grounded and the handling goes for a toss [frustration]. This problem persist while driving in cng as well as in petrol (am sure its got nothing to do with transmisssion type).
Anyone else facing the same issues??? [confused]

P.S : There are absolutely no modifications in the car. I am using it as it was delivered from the showroom; apart from changing the stock speakers which were pathetic.
