Hi Pal

I am also from Kochi, You have narrowed to two wonderful hatch backs. In my opinion, Honda Jazz will command a better status with its brand value. It is a very spacious car and easy to drive.

Now the down side: Honda vehicles will be as expensive to maintain as a ford diesel. But driving comfort will definitely be more in a Honda.

As your monthly mileage is less, you can definitely go for the new Jazz which they have even reduced the prices.

HuntersChase What is this first table about?
Sorry for my poor explanation.
Basically, it is same xls with following variables changed in it,

(1) Monthly running
(2) Fuel costs
(3) Mileage

First one is with worst case where monthly running is less , diesel price is more and diesel mileage is less.
The second one is just opposite..

HuntersChase - your run does not really warrant a diesel heart per se. But cars technologies these days have advanced so much that they are skewed a little towards diesel in terms of mileage and running costs. As Jazz and Figo cost the same (variants you have chosen) and you do like Figo, you should go with it. It is a pretty good deal and drives well.
Also, everytime you visit a fuel station you would have a light heart when you will see someone filling up Petrol [:)]

Friends ,
I booked Figo 1.4 Titanium Sea Grey color today. Booking advance is Rs.10k.
SA told that he can deliver it in around 15 days. Hope i will get it before Dussera.
I am planning for the below accessories,

(1) Alloy wheels - Ford
(2) Rear parking sensors - simple kit with only beep
(3) Rainguard for Windows
(4) Teflon coating
(5) Underbody coating 3M
(6) Seat cover (Ford)
(7) side rubber guards ( black)
Dealer promised USB adaptor & Sun film as freebies.
I see some essential pack quoted in invoice ( which i think is mudflap & mats). It is charged as Rs.1950. Not sure if it is worth !!
Total OTR will be around 6.5 L

I am opting for car lease option which my company is providing.

Thanks lot to all the fellow TAI members for their suggestions and opinions. It has very much helped me to make my decision.
Will update once i get the car.

Congratulations Hunterschase , you have got a good deal there. As others said don't go for teflon coating now , you can do it later after a year or so. Try to get some other accessory instead of that.

Congrats Hunterchase. Good you went for Figo Diesel. My friend also owns the same and is very happy with it since 1.5 years. Do post your reviews once you get your vehicle.

As others have adviced teflon is not worth, its just money making area for dealers. In case you are too keen, after few months you can get the 3M external paint protection done. This is also out of choice and not mandatory

Thanks everyone .

Just one advice, do go for Teflon coating. Its not worth
Yes i had this in my mind. I asked more about Teflon coating anf got to know that nothing more than polishing.
I asked him to do just polishing. But they said they'll do only teflon coating and it costs Rs.3000.
Will ask if it can be done free [:D]

I am feeling a little scary about this.

About ABS, yeah i need to get used to the kind of braking

HuntersChase Congrats, Do post a review soon with lot of pics.
