as you asked me why I am going for Fiat Linea/Avventura.

The reason for me to go for Fiat is very Simple, though I read some Negative and some very Possitive reviews about Fiat Cars in India.

I kept with me only Volkswagen Cars (Polo, Golf, Passat, Jetta and Toureg).

in India I drove Suzuki Swift and no doubt it is a nice car, but same time it is small car.

regarding Ciaz, as you said it is also 90BHP, I didn't go for Test Drive, and when I have to spent More than 1 Million Ruppes than i will not go for Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

Fiat is good for Build Quality and when you see Features or if you compare feature with any other car in this segment, Linea comes on TOP.

and I like European Cars.

I am worried About after Sales Service. as i heard some negative reviews about dealers.

Spare wheel is not alloy but it's 16 inch only.

EDIT :The spare wheel is a 15" steel wheel and comes with a 195/65/15 tyre.

Ciaz comes with the same multijet 90 BHp engine from Maruti.

Agreed, Ciaz has a fiat engine but it is not the same. Marutis have modified it so as to miltch it for FE.
While Linea MJD is meant for pure driving pleasure +world class suspension and steering supplements it.
This is the reason, as you mentioned correctly, ' those whoi have driven fiats would go for fiat.
So Ciaz engine can be at the most called as adopted child from original Fiat MJD.

@Taurus 7, FASS has improved by leaps & bounds after they parted ways with TATA s and set up their separate dealerships & ASS. Also, spares of MJD are cheaper than Maruti counterparts as Maruti has to pay royalty to the Fiats for manufacturing them using fiat's technology.

i agree on fiat quality and feature rich cras. I daily drive a punto for the past 8 months.
When maruti and other luxuary car makers are boasting many small features, Fiat cars have that features,though it can't be seen in any fiat advertisements or even in their websites. example:- one touch down/up window. many other cars have this facility available for driver/co-passenger seats only, that too only one touch 'down' only. But for fiat cars, this available for all four windows.I didnt see any ABS/EBD monogram/sticker in Fiat cars, but maruti has.

BTW, is it possible to fix 2din after market stereo in new linea?

Yes, they are poor in advertising, and are probably spending that budget on discounts!

Yes, stock HU of Linea ICE is 2din,and can be replaced with new one . Posting a pic of the same (partial)

HI, I did Test Drive for Emotion Mutli Jet Diesel and for Avventura also. I was satisfied with bot the cars. experience was good but I found Avventura has more Power than Linea. but Avventura is little smaller, so I will go for Linea.

I will call Jay Vijay tomorrow and check out the Deal for this month. I checked with Pandit Automobiles and Fiat Caffe as well. in Previous month Fiat Caffe offered me better deal than Pandit Auotmobile. due to last week of Month Jay Vijay couldn't offer the deal so I am waiting for their offer.

but as you said Jay Vijay is good in After Sales Service. so I will check with them.

Unless you find Bavdhan an inaccessible location for service, you should go for Pandit Auto. They have the longest serving expertise in Fiat products in Pune. Jay Vijay has shifted from MSIL to Renault to Fiat , all in the span of 7 years. Pandit are also generally transparent in terms of service, and for minor checking/fitting/tightening jobs, they dont charge a dime.

Do you really need the Linea's external dimensions ?Cuz from the inside, it isnt much bigger than an Avventura. You get extra GC in the Avvy, but bigger boot in Linea. And if you want both, get a Duster.

It belongs to Sky Moto. You may buy your Fiat from wherever depending on discounts, but see if you can get it serviced from Bavdhan (Pandit Auto). Which of course, depends on your locational convenience. Try to get an MY2015 car. Check the VIN and do a THOROUGH PDI.


And dont listen to this 2% price increase BS. Fiat is hardly in a position to dictate this to the customers. Rather they need to dole out additional discounts just to get their stocks cleared.

Have a look at the link shared by 'Tornado' in one of his earlier posts. If I am not wrong he had a bitter experince with Fiat Cafe and they seems very unprofessional people. If at all you manage to get a better deal, make sure they are not adding it elsewhere in the final bill.

for expample, if I buy Car from Jay Vijay or Sky Moto (in case I get better discount) but for Servicing the Car if I visit Pandit Auto, Will they give the same treatment and take care of the Car as they give the treatment to their own Customer who bought the Car from them.

If you are great FIAT fan then yes it has something special for you. Comparing LINEA and AVVENTURA may not be wise as the price, space, and style are totally different.

If you are looking for extra boot and prefer to be a sporty style then AVVENTURA else go for LINEA.

Whichever car you select, I would suggest to go for top variant to get maximum safety, coz SAFETY always comes FIRST and not OPTIONAL.

Jay Vijay has shifted from MSIL to Renault to Fiat , all in the span of 7 years.

Before they became MSIL dealer they were Fiat dealers,probably oldest fiat dealer in Pune . I remember our UNO serviced there in 2002.

It belongs to Fiats but run by SKY moto, sky moto has got one more fiat showroom at Chincwad(PCMC). All the sales & discount decisions are taken trough sky moto & Fiats do not take any decision directly bypassing sky moto. This is my experience.

I bought the car at Fiat Caffè, but getting serviced it at Jay Vijay. Also got a faulty lock replaced free of charge in warranty without any hiccups.

It is subjective, and I loved the Pearl white and my wife loved the black.

Thanks a ton Tornado for the Info, I Love Black but little difficult to maintain here because of dust and pollution. Pearl white is good.

I checked with Pandit auto and they said Sun Beam colour is discontinued.

Tornado, do we need to take extra precautions while giving Down Payment to Pandit auto or Sky moto.

on Phone all these SA are giving so many commitments, but will they give it in writing of if they gave gave you anything in writing as you already experienced with Sky Moto (I am aware about your experience with Sky Moto)

today pandit auto and yesterday jay vijay, both said price is going to increase and there is a change in offers too.

anyway, do let me know as I need to decide by today or tomorrow.

Don't bother about the price rise. Even if it increases, they adjust it in discounts. And offers usually (if not always) changes during first week of next month.

While booking, make them write
1)the discount offer clearly on the booking form and also
2)the 'manufacturing month & year'of the car. If car is manufactured in 2014, you will get more discount as compared to one manufactured in 2015.(and strike out the term /condition that SE do not have a right to commit manufacturing month & year). Since you are booking Emotion Diesel, I remember we searched a lot across Maharashtra dealers and Fiats themselves,in Jan 15, not a single Emotion Diesel Linea manufactured in 2014 was available for booking, and possibility of you getting a 2015 manufactured car is high.
3)colour of the car

AFA, Sun beam gold colour's discontinuation is concerned, directly talk with Fiat call center. They will give you correct info than the dealer. As any dealer of any auto brand is naturally inclined to get their inventory cleared before they order new cars from manufacturers.
