Thanks for the references, I could find most nano owners on Sai's thread
. Additionally, I posted this page link and invited fellow nano owners on Bangalore Nano facebook page this morning.
Dear Chayan sir, any car can do the road trips these days, because there are good highways, and nano can easily do 80kmph, and just for information when we went to pune trip from Bangalore for VW plant visit, the concrete road laid was so irritating to the tyres such that our Enjoy maximum speed was 100kmph because we didn't want the engine and tyres to be stressed, so when you compare the 8 lakh car to a 2 lakh one, nano has only little difference.
Just a few cents from my side:(Might seem awkward)
- Please add additional cushion for the seat along with wooden beads, to avoid fatigue and heat on your buttocks.
I didnt expect driving for 400-500 km a day would hurt a lot. Anyway, thanks for the tip, will carry cousions
- Keep water bottles in plenty, throughout my journey so far, aquafina branded water are the best, also keep them rounded with turkey napkins(wet condition to keep it cold).
OK. Planning to carry 25 liters water can from home that we can fill from place to place.
- Keep something like a flag or a print-out on the windshield to represent the drive.
Nice and neat suggestion. Will talk to Vishal and figure out something.
- Keep changing gears and speeds in frequent intervals to avoid wear and tear on the engine and clutch plates. Also keep a tab of checking for engine heating.
OK, noted.
- Tyre pressure to be checked at intervals, keep 2 points lower if the weather is too hot or sunny.
Hoping weather to be pleasant ![Smile [:)] [:)]](https://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/images/smilies/Smile.gif)
- Keep the checklists like attendance, fuel logger, expense sheet etc..
- Keep your mobile balances sufficiently, one idea is you can put datapacks or 3g and use skype to communicate with each other. Hope everybody has smartphones.
Will do so.
The thread starter is starting from Bangalore on 20th Sept, so you can leave Chennai on 19th and stay at bangalore, then you both can start to pune.
I would love to be a part of this trip, but i don't have a nano and holidays, all the best guys, please make it happen with loads of photos and don't forget to share the photos and updates here.
Thanks for the encouragement;
