Globally, Volvo retailed 50,820 cars in January 2025, marking a 5% decline in sales compared to the same period in 2024. (Source: Link)
  • The Swedish automaker claims that the decrease in total sales was largely due to the timing of the Chinese New Year.
  • Volvo XC60 was the highest-selling model with sales of 18,972 units (2024: 18,011), followed by XC40 / EX40 with sales of 8,736 units (2024: 12,628) and XC90 at 7,473 units (2024: 8,167).
  • Sales of Volvo’s electric models (including hybrid) grew 17% YoY and accounted for 44% of all cars sold during January. The share of fully electric cars constituted 19% of all cars sold for the month.

Škoda Auto registered a strong sales performance in 2024, delivering 9,26,600 vehicles to customers worldwide, marking a year-on-year increase of 6.9%.
  • The updated Octavia maintained its status as Škoda’s top-selling model, with 2,15,700 units delivered (+12.4%).
  • Germany remained the company’s largest market, with 1,87,100 vehicles delivered, representing an increase of 29,200 cars compared to 2023.
  • Škoda's expansion in Middle East has gained momentum over past 12 months, driven notably by growing interest in UAE and strong demand in Kuwait, which recorded 62% year-on-year growth.
