i agree to akash and shailinder .
teaching them a lesson wont make any difference as service centre people are generally thick skinned.
imo get it in writing about the issues and the way all the issues would be perfectly resolved to your satisfaction.which includes paint work and et al.
btw , it is a truth that most of the cars which comes out of manufacturer plant to dealers may have scratches and damages while transporting . which is rectified or repaired at dealers own service shops . so this is no big deal that the car we finally receive is brand new fresh from the manufacturer; which applies for every other product we purchase.

Hi,
I am a newbie here.
I have booked Sea Grey, 1.4 Titanium with Cauvery Ford, Bangalore.
The delivery is expected next week.
Hope to share more info, as and when i have it.
BTW, Bangalore folks, the RTO charges are coming to 14%. Is this correct or the dealer is taking me for a ride. I checked with RTO website but couldnt find any reference to it.

i was busy with driving my figo same sea gray color
three days back gone for a trip to dhooda allamara, gatti subbramanya, kaiwara.... nandi hills and few more places..
checked just before fueling the DTE (distance to empty) is 65 and odo reads 850 kms
Added diesel for 500 rupees (11.90 Ltrs)
while returning did found the DTE is at 63 and now the odo reads 1118 kms
here the calculation
1118 - 850 = 268 kms covered on 11.90 ltr diesel

Yeah I have heard about the sky high RTO taxing % in b'lore but I doubt it will be this high for a small car. Did you check with the split-up offered by other dealers? If not, please do that too.

though this mileage would be approximately correct, the way to obtain accurate mileage is through tank full to tank full method
1) Fill your tank
2) Reset your trip-meter to Zero
3) Drive for a few hundred kilometeres
4) Fill the tank again
5) Mileage can be calculated as Kms driven/ lts of fuel consumed
Repeat this cycle 2 to 3 times and average it out. This should give you the exact mileage of your ride!

so i think the amount quoted by the dealer seems to be genuine.
