Yup. And the RCD 310 find it's way on the new Polo CL. Lookwise, I prefer the RCD 310 but the new RCD 320 in the HL takes the game up a notch with the in-built bluetooth and SD card reader.

No I don't think it would have video playback feature! Only SD card, aux, bluetooth are new features.

Finaly a good music system with all features.
I saw new Polo with music system,hope we can too upgrade to RCD 320
Defenitly i will go for 320 if its avilable for a reasonble price

Price should not be high. The original RCD 210 used to sell for 7-8k, for 320 I think 10k would be enough. Also I am expecting it to be just a plug and play device, so no issues of warranty too.

VW dealership is selling Nippon/Universal 2 DIN Navi Multimedia touch screen systems for 30k, (You get 5k replacement for the existing RCD310 system in CL). Heard there were few issues with the Nippon systems.

Can also check few more options at this website for VW : (They give 1 year warranty)

Hi Mohit,
what kind of issues have you heard of in the nippon system.
I am planning to get a jetta and the dealer is offering only this option. I was more keen on another HU that Blaupunkt has with OEM fit, but as per the dealership, changing to anything other than the nippon system will void the warranty
Does anybody have experience with the nippon system. Pls let me know if its worth going for this system on not

Hey guys, need a little help of all the ICE Tech gurus here on TAI. I have just installed RCD 320 head unit on my 2012 Polo. This unit is working all fine, just that the background lights on the buttons (Red color) are not glowing. Took my car to VW workshop too and they said that this has different set of connectors and it won't work on my car. Its a little hard to digest as I've seen people upgrading to much higher models like the RCD510, etc on Polo without any troubles. Can anyone please suggest on how I can make these background lights to work. I guess some socket changes have to be done. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to all these techy stuff and any of your help will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

In vw group cars the dashboard light wire colour code is white with a blue stripe check if that's present in the wiring harness for the stereo and if there is 12v present when the lights are switched on.
