Are there any temporary fixes that can be used. Will prevent your gearbox from messing up.
I don't know if any. But the SA said, it's not threatening in anyway, but should be replaced.

What you think? And, what all does it impacts? Like, drivablity, gear shift, FE?

I'd say all of the above.

Does the gearbox rattle or vibrate?
Not sure of Vibration or Rattle, but there is a mild sound while shifting gears and as per the SA it's due to the bedding. He said, the bedding is connected only on one side and the other would not be. So, if there is an issue with the bedding, it would move and thus creating this sound and jerk.

I guess it was changed as per the service schedule. Will check when was the last time and if needed, will have it changed.

Thanks Team. Will give it a thought.

FE Update: Here is the figure on recent trip to Chennai.

  • 693 KMs comprising 30% City with 10% AC + 70% Highway with Full AC and Speed between 80 - 120. FE = 18.41. Great huh? [:D]
  • 674 KMs comprising 50/50% City / Highway with about 70% AC. FE = 17.77. Looks decent for me. BTW, from this fill, I started with System D.

I later tanked up before heading to Bangalore, but didn't refill after reaching here. So, couldn't take the Highway figure alone. But, seeing the Trip Meter & DTE it would be somewhere between 15-16 which is fine considering 60/40 Highway/City drives. Will tank up soon and update the figures.

Recently did a trip to Puri (from Kolkata) and back. Figo gave ~19km/lt which I think is OK since I constantly doing 100-110 km/hr (& going up/down as required).
Guess if I stuck with 80-90km/hr could have got more, but there were many diversions on the way and wanted to make most of the dual carriageway that was operational.
Engine seems to have freed up a bit, earlier ~2500 rpm got me 100km/hr, now observed that I could do the same at 2200-2300 rpm.
The car is not yet one year old but had used 'Addon D' (small pack of Rs.30/-) while filling up on the onward journey. Not sure of its effect though.

19 is a great figure. What was the AC usage and load?

Yeah, 90 KMPH @ 2000 RPM is the sweet spot, but we can hardly manage to stay in that given Figo's handling capabilities [:D]

Addon D, an fuel additive? Share more details about it.

AC usage was 80% but being winter was just 1/4 into blue scale. Two people with good amount of luggage (specially while coming back). Tyre pressure at 31 psi.

Did not scrape the bottom at bumps (quite a lot on the way) or at bad roads (at the diversions).

I met a Kolkata family in the hotel who also drove from Kolkata (Nissan Micra D) and they had taken a few hits (one beneath the left rear door as quite visible) and was quite disgusted with the mileage they got. When I said that I had more than quarter of my tank left, they were quite surprised. But it is strange..according to me the roads were not that bad , but Micra historically has ground clearance issues...but the engine should have been more frugal than ford's TDCI (same engine in Logan, all Nissans and Duster with adjustments offcourse).
I guess its upto the skill of the driver that makes the difference.

Addon D is an additive. I had inquired about System D, but this is what they had so at 30 Rs. thought I give it a try.

Absolutely a good figure with AC.

Micra is a Fuel Efficient car for sure. My friend's Micra gives about 17 in Pune City and, it's Petrol [anger]
