Our senior member Tornado caught the face lifted Punto which was on test in Pune. The " Evo" model. As per Tornado the interiors are completely new with a beige and black combination and look top class.

Seems soon it will be on gracing the Indian roads.

There's a change in front grill design also. There is a horizontal bar (probably chrome finish) in the middle part just in front of the checkered grills. I couldn't take snap, as the guys sped away immediately after seeing that some spy job is going on.

There is a change in design of tail lamp. Rear bumper was wrapped in with black white stickers. This means there is a definite change in design of rear bumper also as the look was not fully matching with current panto rear.

Most stunning changes are in interiors. Black & vanilla beige( duel tone), I could not touch them but the finest grain design over it was looking tempting. People who don't like current punto would soon start loving it.
Design of the center console and look of the 2 din HU is also lovable. HU is nicely integrated with the dash as compared to present panto. Buttons on the dash are looking elegant and digital type. Panel gaps are minimal and consistent.

FIAT could have changed the archaic flip type door handles to modern pull type handles.Wish they plonk the AMT soon.The automatic diesel hatchbacks is non existent.If they wait like always Maruti or TATA will bring one and make merry.Having said that the new interiors are a welcome change.

That's a great pick.... A friend is looking out for a car... But i doubt he will wait more than 1 month. I guess punto will launch by diwali...

IMO, it would be launched before this election as the excise tax benefit is likely to be revoked @next budget after election.

Except for the dual tone and some detailing, the interiors look very similar here. Similar alloy design too. This may be the one launching in India too, except for the number of door configuration. [roll]

Looks like the headlamps are different from european facelifted version. They resemble more to Fiat Avventura headlamps minus the projector. BTW here are some more spy pics.

Excellant Scoop Tornado. Punto was due for face lift for a long time. Close on the heels of new Linea, its a good move by Fiat.

But they need to increase their portfolio.
