Not a problem Jayadev , no need to thank for such things! Just let me know if you feel your car's progress is a little slow , i will pay them a visit and ask them to speed up the work.


But too bad we couldn't meet up , anyways i think we should surely meet when you come back for taking your car.

i talked to insurance surveyor, he has approved the claim and said 80 percent recovery for metal parts and 50 for plastics.
the expenses can be calculated only after job has been done so no updates so far.

i called them today and reminded it is been 16th day.
as i expected their reply was..

"parts hasn't arrived yet ,expecting next week. so work has not started."

let me tell you if i am going to buy one more car it would be another punto or linea or from toyota . it is not fanboyism but the quality of the product.
there are many number of issues for low sales and bad technical support but for the same reason i cannot let go a good car.
in last 10years of behind wheel this is my first incident and i have learnt a big lesson about passenger safety. if not a good car and if any of us were hurt the whole situation would have been unimaginable . thanks to my fiat car .

at present i am not blaming the service center guys as they told me it would take 1 month for sure, because it is fiat .so i had already made up my mind to wait.

Oh sad to hear that still work has not begun in your car , i will try to contact some people tomorrow and enquire the real status.

spoke to mr.gurumurhti today.
he said work is in progress and 50percent job is done and it will be ready by 21st that is almost a week more than said time.

dhaya ,can you do something to push them .

@Jayadev- : Been reading your entire thread, line by line. You've bought a wonderful hatch and its also proved its worth in the accident as well.

Be patient, when lots of parts are to be replaced, a lot of time will be taken for sure. An small accident in my Getz CRDi and I had to wait for 3 weeks+ due to non-availability of parts like bonner, side fender etc.

At the end of it all, the car will return to its former glory and you will forget all about it.

BTW-: RSA is more like breakdown assitance and does not include towing. If you've taken the bill for it, then you can claim it under insurance. Do speak to the insurance surveryor and get this included for claims.

i feel like being chained and caged at home..at least my wife is so happy. she says at least this is the only vacation she found me in home round the clock.
me too not much sad though ,after a long long time i have seen monsoon rain so closely day in day out...


@krish , did you say getz crdi?
