Yesterday, I got a reply from PayTm as under:

''Dear Customer, currently we are not accepting any new KYC requests. We regret the inconvenience caused''

In reply, I have asked them to refund Rs.600 paid for the Fastag Sticker. Let's see their reaction.!
Last week I felt that Top NHAI Officials and Ministers may not be aware of the difficulty of Car owners in getting FASTag activated and sent emails requesting them to do the needful. I even gave link to this thread.

These are the email IDs :

memberfinance@nhai.org
membertech@nhai.org
chairman@nhai.org

CC to:
mansukh.mandaviya@sansad.nic.in
nitin.gadkari@nic.in

I do hope quick action is taken, when Central Government is pushing for more and more Cashless Transactions.

Just now I sent a written complaint (email) to my dealer with a copy to Tata motors. Lets wait for their reaction and if no refund coming, then will send mail to all those parties listed in your post.

Update:

Just received a call from Tata Motors (forgot from which department, she was called) and told me that I should provide Aadhaar Card details enable complete the KYC formalities (as the dealer submitted my Aadhaar card details when they purchased the sticker from paytm and as such system will not accept any other documents .

I told her that Aadhaar Card option has been removed by Paytm and now they have only Pan Card/Passport/Voteer ID/Driving License/NREGA Job Card options on which I have tried all the first four options but not working. She need time to discuss with Paytm and will come back.[roll]

I wanted a Fastag for my Manza as we are planning for a trip. I have seen Fastag lanes are nearly empty in all Plazas .
So I ventured out to nearest Toll Plaza from my house at E-City Flyover. They directed me to BETL/NHAI office near to D'Mart.
I found a Point of Sale counter , where I inquired and Fastag was available (powered by IDFC Bank) . So I filled up the Form and gave documents (RC Copy, Aadhaar Card Copy, One Photo).
In 5 minutes the Fastag was activated I got SMS with Login and Password . Also the person pasted the Fastag on my car.
Later I came back home and logged in to IDFC Fastag website did recharge as well.
Website Link - https://etoll.idfcbank.com/dimtsportal/login
Charges :
Fastag - Rs 100
Deposit - Rs 200
Minimum Balance - Rs 100
Total - Rs 400, Paid Via Cash
Cheers,

Good that you have got Fastag activated on the spot. I am still fighting with Paytm /Tata Motos & their dealers to accept my KYC formality on line or refund the amount. Now, I am thinking of writing to NHAI as final attempt.[frustration]

Mine was activated at the time pf purchase only. Got a chance to use it on pune-banglore highway in this week while travelling to my in-laws place. Mine is activated with ICICI. In all the three toll plazas, there are separate fastag lanes, though the one near Pune(khed-shivapur) has all non-fastag vehicles entering fastag lanes, causing delay (paying it manually). Rest two toll plazas have a dedicated fastag lane/s and they are open for only active fastag vehicles. Saves a lot of time. [:)]

Meanwhile end of last year in Manza we made a trip of 1200 KM around Bangalore-Chennai-Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry-Bangalore.
I paid via FasTag where ever it was available. But due to holiday season there were too much rush at Toll Gates and FasTag lanes were even more crowded than cash lanes (most trucks use FasTag now). [frustration]

Minister Nitin Gadkari has said, "in future FASTags can also be used to buy petrol and pay parking fees", according to a PTI report. Recently, NHAI has announced that FASTags will be available at petrol pumps...

ATTENTION : Minimum Balance required in TAG:

Long story short, my Tag was recognized on 29th Dec 2018, but was declared invalid 12 hrs later (blacklisted ???), as I returned to B'lore on morning of 30th Dec 2018. I had Rs 272 (Rs 200 + Rs 72) in my TAG A/c, yet I paid by Cash and exited. Today, I called HDFC (Toll free Nr 1800 120 1243 ... NOT 1234, but 1243) ; call was answered by the 3rd ring. i was told that i HAD to maintain a minimum Balance of more than Rs 100; i asked him "what the heck Rs 200/- is doing in my account as refundable Deposit ? Is Rs 72 NOT good enough to pass a 25 rupees Toll ?? Is short time overdraft NOT allowed ???". i was given some lame answers like "Reader Problem at THAT specific Toll Plaza... bleh bleh bleh" ... (Yes  , yesterday i watched Hotel Transylvania)

Bottom line:
  1. In case TAG is declared as invalid, you need NOT pay by Cash. Toll Plaza HAS to allow you to park nearby and you may call HDFC FasTAG Roadside Asst No 1033 and give your Vehicle Number. I tried THAT number too and it was answered on the first RING [clap] . One Keralite Gentleman there confirmed that "my TAG is NOT blacklisted and has adequate balance". He said, in such events, they will convey same to Toll operator.
  2. But de BEST is to ensure that more than Rs 100 (apart from THAT Rs.200 Deposit) is in your TAG a/c when you hit the LAST Toll on your way back. After these exchanges, I topped up my TAG by Rs 1,800... as compared to what my Govt loots from me, this amount is less.
  3. In FasTAG site it was mentioned that you can top up your A/c in Toll Plaza also. i will enquire about it somewhere.

My Fastag authentication problem still not sorted out. However, now I can use my Pan card details and verify my identity (earlier 'error' used to come up). But after this PAN verification the next step is to provide vehicle registration number and upload a copy of RC where I am stuck now. Also, their system asking me to pay Rs.500? (I have already paid Rs.600 and got the sticker, but there seems no place in their system to provide the existing sticker number).

Anyway, I am not interested to pay again to Paytm and if at all I need a Fastag sticker, better I will get it from some other agency.!

Nair sir,
10 days back I visited Paytm KYC center and completed all the formalities for Paytm wallet. Today I received a message from Paytm saying that my KYC is completed and I can use it.
Then I called to Paytm toll free number and spoke to a representative and told him about the Fastag provided by Tata showroom. He quickly verified my details and said that my Fastag was active but not linked to Paytm wallet. I asked to create a request for linking, he did it and said with in 7 working days it will be done. Post that I can use the Fastag.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks. My problem is that the Paytm KYC center is 40 km away hence trying to get it done online which seems not working properly. Still keep trying[roll]

I tried doing it online but no luck. to my knowledge there is no possibility for online KYC for now.

Plan a visit to KYC center, things will work.
hmm.. probably, next time when I take my car for service (Paytm KYC center seems somewhere near/ en route to Tata Service centre), will also try to do this KYC thing .!

Fastag is definitely a great boon for me, not having to fumble with change in toll plazas and not wait for more than half a dozen cars ahead of me (on plazas with dedicated fastag no-cash lane). I only wish Fastag lane is implemented in all toll plazas. Still in Paranur toll plaza (near Chengalpattu) and Athur there is no dedicated fastag lane which is annoying.

(my Fastag came with the vehicle and it is an Axis Bank Fastag)
