Raja,

Great pics and surely would have been great fun too!!

Dubai is a wonderful country if you love to shop. ,
In your travelogue you mentioned you had spent most of the times in mall and shops, Can we know what and all you purchased. This would have been definitely hit your balance [lol]

Did you find any Indian vehicles over there.

I noticed the newspapers used on the table spread are Indian ones (if am right),So they let you barbecue at the local parks?Something we cant think of here am sure.I am guessing you need to pay a small fee for having a bbq?
Whats in the kettle? [:)]

Yes the newspaper is times of India and you get that easily in dubai .[:)] there is no special fee to use the barbeque but the entry fee for the garden is 3 dhs per person .besides that coals , and those rods used for girlling must be brought by us the garden has only provided a barbeque pit .
We were brewing tea in the kettle .

Raja,

A small question, hope it is inline with the thread,

I have seen twice when I was passing through Dubai while my trip to Europe, the on duty Arabs of Dubai treat the semi dark looked Indians or srilankan in a bit different way than those white and red faced Europeans. May be this is because I felt due to their(Europeans) huge investments in Dubai real estate. I have experienced the same during my flying with emirates !!

To be honest I never faced this ever in dubai , I agree before they were not good in speaking English , but from last 10 years I see they speak good English and are kind and nice .
And the attitude is same in the entire gulf I have been so far like Oman , Bahrain , Qatar and UAE . Although I find dubai nice and feels great to see many Indians around I would not rate it as my fav country or the most beautiful country .

conclusion

The trip was exciting and fun not because it was dubai or because of the desert safari or because of the beautiful malls and cars around . The trip was beautiful because it was time shared with my close ones specially my wife and then my sisters their daughters .
On 3 rd November we took the 1:30afternoon flight emirates back to Mumbai .

Finally seeing the crazy rickshaws , motorcycles our very world class traffic and the noise of horns honking like crazy made me feel wow iam back home and nothing in this world compares to my India and my city Mumbai the city which never sleeps .

Thanx to all readers for taking time to read this thread , inspite of not being good with words iam humbled that you all have rated this thread 5 star thanx a million .

If by anychance anybody is traveling to dubai for vacation and has some questions to ask , remember iam allways here at your disposal to answer them in my capacity .

Thanx again a final picture for you all .
