Update : It has been almost 11 months from when I upgraded the alternator.

Its working fine there are no issues with it till date.

Update : Alternator is just doing fine !! Planning to upgrade the atly with vacuum assist as found in diesel cars (for better braking).

Update : The alty is doing its job perfectly (2 + years ). I have added few electrical accessories too.

Now my car is running with EPS too no issues found. I have upgraded the battery to 55 amp one.

I guess gypsy comes with 50 amp alternator. You can get a swift's as you have plenty of space to mount it..

Is the OBD working on your Gypsy ? Will it work with 800..

Thanks.. A new Swift alternator costs you 13.5k.. I have got it for 3.5 k and got it serviced and total was around 5.5 k..

Yes, it would cost 13-14k when I inquired almost 1.5 - 2 years back..

2 stock alternator (if new stock alternator costs only 13k) or else a single 200-250amphere high output alternator for my Dzire.

How much will Scorpio's alternator cost? Does any company provide alternator with 150 amps? (Aria or XUV or any other SUV )

Sankar, there are quite a few wingers here.Big van kind of vehicles.

It does have a 150amp alternator.Sankar your best bet is the gujri.

You better take measurements of your stock alternator and compare it with the Winger alternator.Also check the pulley.
