In case of Ford cars, the tool normally used is Ford ETIS which can be found here:

Now the point to be noted is that ETIS will give the date of final assembly while the VIN number manual decoding gives the month of chassis stamping. So in Ford cars, to avoid any confusion it is better to follow the date that is given by the ETIS because in case of slow moving products, it is possible that the chassis stamping and vehicle assembly date can be even up to 1 month away from each other.
