I saw your reply on vwfanclub.

The holder is ok but now it doesn't work like it used to. Have only used for around 3 weeks. The back button which is used to release the phone doesn't work half the times.

I understand that problem, whenever the back button is not working, just check there is a switch on the back side which is for locking the holder, just release the switch it works normally

That looks to be different one something like a dashboard mounted one, I really do not know if it is mounted on windshield, how flexible it is for viewing angle as it doesn't have that long flexible road

Thats why i am confused as nothing is written about windshield mounting. I dont want universal car mount as they comes with cushions and is a bit bulky IMO. i am looking for a dedicated one like this but a little bit confussed.

Mine is a universal one but not that bulky I think. But cushion really helps to grip the mobile firmly and never damage the mobile while grip

Let me search once again so that i do not end up by paying for the wrong one. I want to use my note as a video screen during long trips so that we all can enjoy endless movies

^^In that case I am doubtful that the one I bought will hold Note or not. May be the one shown in the link is properly suitable as the Note is heavy, hence not provided with long flexible rod for that

I always suggest a holder made for your model if mobile is expensive.

Please read reviews about this Holder if available in xda(under Note accessories). There you may get the best suggestion from users who are using Note. I do not know about this quality. But, I can tell you about slipgrip _ Really good one.
(i can search for that tomorrow as I am already in bed to sleep)
