Re: Top selling 50 cars in India, Sept 2011
1. Why is Etios & Liva clubbed together. One is a hatch, other is a sedan: but still clubbed together at 14th place. Individually they might slip to beyond top 25.
2.Micra is leading its 'seniors': Fabia & Punto. With gradual increase in dealer base, this clever little car might topple Polo one day (specially if Nissan opts for some price correction of the top variants).
3. Ford's figures provide a quick understanding of Indian market. A VFM car with outdated design/weak petrol engine/numerous niggles is sitting pretty at 16th position but a modern car with good petrol & diesel engine/best in class handling/good features is languishing at 43rd position due to over optimistic pricing.
4.Jazz has clocked 600 sales in Sep'11- but it has not been reflected.
