Fiat sell decreasing day by day. Little bit worry for me because i booked Punto Emotion 1.3. Fiat do something to gain customer faith :please:
[lol]good one Jazzselect (your username suggest a Jazz owner and booked Punto). Well you need not worry because sell is decreasing because of bad marketing and TATA-Fiat friendship not working for Fiat. However, it is great product. Yes, there are some issues people report every now and then but they are manageable or you have to check your threshold level as at what level you would boiling hot and bang Fiat A.S.S for there lethargic approach.

All the best.

Re: Top selling 50 cars in India, Sept 2011

1. Why is Etios & Liva clubbed together. One is a hatch, other is a sedan: but still clubbed together at 14th place. Individually they might slip to beyond top 25.

2.Micra is leading its 'seniors': Fabia & Punto. With gradual increase in dealer base, this clever little car might topple Polo one day (specially if Nissan opts for some price correction of the top variants).

3. Ford's figures provide a quick understanding of Indian market. A VFM car with outdated design/weak petrol engine/numerous niggles is sitting pretty at 16th position but a modern car with good petrol & diesel engine/best in class handling/good features is languishing at 43rd position due to over optimistic pricing.

4.Jazz has clocked 600 sales in Sep'11- but it has not been reflected.

Yes your doubt is very much valid. [thumbsup] But those many cars are already dispatched to the dealers. These figures are Ex-Factory, Invoiced to the dealers.

This means if the inventory at dealer piles up, the real sales figs will be different than these one then, right ?

Absolutely. Because these figures or sale figures are coming from the manufacturer and not from the dealers. If we have to take the details from the dealers then it will take months together to collect the same.

I am surprised to see EON's booking / dealer dispatches [confused]. It is too much too early. I think, Maruti has to think for Alto as it is direct competition to Alto's sale in near future.

If Manza's overall sales this year is 56421 and Honda City's is 31303, how come we see Bangalore flooded with Citys and only a handful of Manzas?

Number of cars that we see on road is not the only criteria to judge its actual sales. The figures mentioned are for entire country and not specific for Bangalore.

The Manufacturere wise sales figure for Month of Sep'11 is:

1) Maruti - 85560
2) Hyundai - 57820
3) Tata - 31570
4) M&M - 20960
5) Ford - 10720
6) GM - 10110
7) Toyota - 12810
8) Nissan - 9370
9) VW - 6850
10) Honda - 4760
11) Skoda - 1650
12) Fiat - 1050
13) HM - 476

Though fiat is present for more than a decade, and has best products but still not able to sell more than 1000.[sad]

Even the new entrants like Nissan is able to sell more than 9000 cars. Even i was surprised to see that Nissan is selling so many cars.

Thanks for sharing this valuable piece of information. Hyundai is catching up fast and looking at these figures, it seems they’re on the way to become next biggest carmaker in India. As for Nissan, Micra Diesel has proved to be their bread and butter model and these figures are expected to increase further with the launch of Sunny Diesel. On the other hand, it does indeed feels disappointing to see Fiat with such fate. But then, their actual journey has begun in India with Punto and Linea which are just a few years old. So let’s hope that next attempts by Fiat such as setting up separate dealerships etc. do not go futile and rather help them to establish to an extent.
