The demand for Figo appears to be only getting increased every day. Within 4 Months of launch, Ford has managed more than 24,000 booking orders for the car.
Competition in the Indian car space is getting fierce. Maruti Suzuki has seen its market share fall below 50% in almost a decade and Tata Motors has shifted to the second position overtaking Hyundai Motor India in domestic sales, reports CNBC-TV18’s Swati Khandelwal Jain.
Maruti’s market share has fallen to close to 50% as waiting period in most of the cars are almost one to three months. On the other hand, Nano and Indigo have helped spiking the sales of Tata Motors to 63.2% in June.
Hyundai has been pushed to the third position due to low monthly sales. Its car sale grew 18.9% in the month of June.
Really good news! Suzuki needs a set back. Other wise they will take the Indian buyers for granted. This will push them to increase their production facility as well as force them to launch feature rich models to handle the competition. The same goes with Hyundai though their sales has increased. They will pay more attention to pricing and features!
