If I can convince my dad to increase the budget by Rs 75000 - 1 lakh, then we could consider the Linea Dynamic, SX4 VXi and JAzz Base. What say guys?
Why not just wait for the VW Golf? or if you're going for th Jazz, are you also going to listen to Jazz? I think listening to Jazz while driving in the Jazz will be really Jazzy, what say?

Hey buddy

1: VW Golf may never come to India. The golf scoop I posted has been classified to be a personal import.

2: your post above doesnt make much sense (no offence :sorry:)

Nah it does. If I buy a Jazz, it sure makes sense, cuz I love playing 'Jazzy' music!

If I were you, I would not even consider the verna.

No Airbags and a pathetic design make it a bad deal.

(To all verna transform owners out there :sorry:

Infact it is the other way around.

For the first time i am hearing that a Honda has bad resale value. If a car didnt do well up to the expectations of the company it doesnt mean that the resale value to will go low.

A friend told me I could lose upto Rs 1.5 on the Linea's Resale in the 1st year.
A Honda = Better resale.
What do you guys have to say about the Jazz?

Arkin if you can accept the "Overpriced" tag of Jazz, i dont think you will have any reason to regret if you bought one. Minus the pricing Honda Jazz is a great car. It looks really cute from the front and the pillars give an impression that it is a much bigger hatch. WHen i first saw Jazz i had a feeling that it looks like a Mini Innova!

Coming to the tech specs, you must be aware of the fact that Jazz has only one engine option that is 1.2L i-Vtec which pumps out 90PS @ 6200prm which seems decent. Also it comes with Airbags and ABS(EBD) as standard.

IMO Jazz is a great buy.

@ arkin

Akash has said it all.

1.2L i-Vtec which pumps out 90PS @ 6200prm

6200 rpm. Yes that is how much you will have to rev it to get decent performance out of it.

And it offers just 2 airbags, whereas i20 offers 6.

i20 also looks better, IMO.

But if exclusivity is all you want, look no further than the Jazz.

Thanks Akash and Mani.
Once we can afford with a pinch, and have a Honda badge, we wouldn't mind the over-priced tag. 90PS is great, from a 1.2.
I also have got bored of the i20. The i20 being similar to our i10, there are many i20s on the road, and it lacks that feeling of 'exclusivity' that the Jazz can give us. Other than the no. of Airbags and VFM, I feel the i20 doesn't match up to the Jazz.

Jazz is a superb looking car. But on the expensive side. I would suggest check out Polo 1.6L if you are looking for 'exclusivity'. I would say 1.6L polo is one of the hottest hatches in town :D.

OT: I am a little jealous of you since you have access to all these beautiful cars at this young age. eheheeee

Why yes, the Polo 1.6 is a good option too! But we are considering the 3 cylinder 1.2 Polo. It might suffice. Anyway, shall get dad to TD the 1.6 too.

And yes, I'm lucky!

Well Polo 1.2 - 3 pot isnt that refined compared to other 4 cylinders. I would suggest you give a shot at polo 1.6 / Jazz 1.2 / Figo 1.4 TDCi. But none can beat the refinement of 1.2 Kappa or 1.2 KB.
