Got my 6s 64Gb in silver on first day of launch. Pre booked it to avoid the long lines at the apple store. It was delivered by 11:30 AM on 25th. I like the upgrades. Its really fast compared to its predecessor. The touchId feature is so fast that you doubt whether its turned on.

Congrats for buying 6S bro.I think you are the one to get 6S in this forum.BTW,we(me and my father)are using iPhone 6 since last 2 months replacing my Nexus 5 and my journey with iPhone is so good and I'm happy with it and happy that I didn't wait for 6S as I felt 6 is enough for me.

One question,is iPhone 5S a good buy now?Thinking to get one for my mom as she wanted to get rid with her iPhone 4,which she is using since last 2.5 years.I feel 5S still a better bet than iPhone 6 due to its sleek design but if you want a bigger iPhone 6/6S and 6+/6S+ is better.

BTW,I have Gold one whereas my father has Space Grey one.

Thanks dude! I am impressed by the performance of 6s. Regarding 5s, I still think it is a good buy as long as you dont have a desire for the latest models. I bought a 5s last month for my mom as she doesnt like the big screens.

Although I own Mac Book Pro and iPad, I don't consider Apple as VFM. It is more a 'flaunt yourself brand'. I also hate that I have can't program it without paying Apple. It is ridiculous that I have to pay Apple so I can run app developed by me for limited office use. It is even more scandalous that they 'generously' give the option for internal distribution via the $299 Enterprise developer program.

Thanks for the inputs tai_newbie.Actually 5S will be for my mother as she prefers 5S over 6 due to its size and sleekness. As 5S is costing ₹30K in India, surely will go ahead and get this. And,due to having 2 iPhone 6's at home,I felt 5S is a better bet.

Updated my iPhone 6 to iOS 9.1.As usual,I didn't feel change in performance. Its silk smooth as ever and battery backup I'm getting is way good.I got 33 hours on a single charge.Normally I get around 16-24 hours on every single charge, which is way better than my previous Nexus 5,which I used to get less than 12 hours when it was on Lollipop. But,FB app is consuming much battery on my iPhone. How to solve the draining issue?

Re: Apple Products - Discussions and Suggestions

iPhone and iPad users,

Did you update your devices to iOS 9.1 and are you facing battery issues?Im using iPhone 6 since 3 months and had updated to 9.1 recently.Im facing battery drain when on standby but I still get 1 day to more than 1 day of battery backup.Apart from this,no issues with phone.Today morning, after checking messages,it was around 12% and after taking out the phone at 1:30pm,it got decreased to 5% from 12%.I think location services is killing my battery.I had switched it off and will update the final result. And,I need that location services because if I lose my phone,it will be difficult to find my phone. So,location services was from the day I bought the phone.I switched off the iCloud backup, keychain and decreased the brightness too. But,no increase in battery. And,FB app is also killing my battery. Many users had reported about this issue. My usage is mostly FB,Whatsapp, listening to songs, checking reviews in Zomato, checking ads in OLX and sometimes,I check the offers in Flipkart and Amazon. But,atleast I'm happy that I'm getting better battery backup than my previous Nexus 5,which I used to get less than 12 hours with frequent usage.

So,what's the solution for this?

iOS 9.2 let the users to import photos directly from a camera to their iPhone without the need for a computer inbetween with the help of 'lightning to USB adapter'. Apparently this should also support card readers and usb thumbdrives as well, similar to an OTG cable in an android phone.

I have been using 5S gold 16gigs since 1.5 years. Games were lagging in 9.0 iOS but 9.2 was like knife in hot butter.
Planning to manage aside some funds for 6S 64gb. But I still can't get over the sleekness and corporate looks of the 5S.
What I don't like is the rapidly plummeting price of it. My heart bleeds to see my 52k being sold at "kabaadi ka bhao"

Not only music and movies. Availability of apps. Many big games those are not available in IOS. I bought a one plus 2 because of extra sim use but now addicted to it. Copying songs from pc to iPhone is a big headache!!

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus Affected by 'Stuck' Battery Percentage Bar, Confirms Apple

If your iPhone is not showing you the accurate battery level, you're not alone. Apple has acknowledged a bug affecting iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus smartphones that is preventing the battery percentage bar from showing real-time information. The issue, as you can imagine, is misguiding people of the exact battery level they have left on their iPhone.

Apple wrote in a support document that the system time on the iPhone is apparently triggering the issue. When a user makes changes to the system time, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus stop updating the battery level. The issue is also affecting users who're travelling from one time zone to another.

The issue has been reported by a number of users on Apple's official forum. Several complaints on the thread go as back as October 20, 2015. "My iPhone 6s Plus battery percentage gets stuck frequently. Like for example, it will say 87 percent all day, and then I'll plug it in for an hour, and it will still say 87 percent," a user wrote. "The only fix I've found is to power the phone off and then turn it back on. Then the percentage will update correctly, and will usually continue to update properly for awhile. But eventually it gets stuck again."

While Apple works on a fix, the company has shared a workaround. It asks affected users to restart their iPhone and then ensure that the system clock time is being automatically set. To do this, go to Settings > General > Date & Time and check if the Set Automatically option is turned on.

Apple Watch 2 Unlikely to Launch in March: Report

Apple may not launch the Apple Watch 2 in March. A new report claims that the Cupertino-based company has no plans to offer a major upgrade to its first wearable device, at least, not so soon.

Multiple reports have claimed that Apple is working on the second-generation Apple Watch, and plans to launch it in March. However, TechCrunch citing people familiar with the matter says that isn't the case. The publication further reports that there is no Apple Watch component movement under way at the supply chain which lowers the possibilities of another watch.

The company, however, could launch a revised version of the Apple Watch soon. The new variant supposedly doesn't have any major changes except a FaceTime Camera.

"We are observing some interesting new patterns in Apple's supply chain that are making the waters more murky than before. As with the current edition of the Apple Watch, no one really saw that coming via supply chain so it is possible to not see it," Creative Strategies analyst Ben Bajarin told TechCrunch.

"However, the Apple supplier warnings of soft revenue ahead do seem to cause one's eyebrow to raise when thinking about a new product supposedly shipping in a few months."

9to5Mac reported last year that Apple currently plans to launch the Apple Watch 2 in March. The report added that the wearable could launch alongside a 4-inch iPhone.

Apple is expected to significantly improve the battery life in the Apple Watch 2. A patent filing has revealed that the company is also working on an improved watch band that could transform itself into different shapes such as a protective case.
