Another Update, today will be downloading IOS 6 on IP4.

A developer preview, i will be updating more once i am done with the Update.

But one thing i cannot share the pictures.

I too installed the beta version of ios6 but the problem is that I was not able to run many apps so downgraded to ios 5.0.1
@mukeshus in one of your post you said you bought a phone which is locked that means its probably an import and you have unlocked it well I just want to know that how much did it costed you , and if I get an iphone4S like that how much will it cost ?

Yes it was a developer preview version of IOS 6, though the update on IP4 was showing 5.1.2 , Baseband 4.12.10, prior to unlock it was 5.0.1 Baseband ,4.11.08.

My bro had been to US and he bought one, he had paid 450$, and bought it online in Nov last year, through an apple store, in USA in his colleague's name.
He was on a conference tour for a month.
So he got it shipped in his name, who had a Iphone 3GS, and in his name AT&T was taken, which was almost the old sim in his name.

So recently the contract was over for an year, and my bro called AT&T saying that he was in India and want to use the phone, so they generated case number, which is enough to call apple and they obliged to unlock the phone for him.

Then it was done.

The rate of IP4 last year was 850$ for an factory unlocked one.

But one with carrier gets the IP4S for 200$, and then a monthly subscription ranging from 70$-140$/month.

Now he is buying an IP4S for him shortly.

Latest feature of IOS6 is they have parted away from Google, and outsourced Tom-Tom, a leading UK brand, for all 3D level maps.
Though the 3D button was masked as it is not officially released.
Turn by turn Navigation on IP4.
And a passbook feature to store your E-data.

Also one can reply a call with a pre-set message, if he doesn't intends to lift a call.
Which is a cool feature.

Are those 3D maps and voice navigator available for all over India do we have to pay extra charge to use them ? Or they are just free as google maps and what about the battery backup in 4S ?

Yes 3D option has been masked by Apple as they have not officially released it.

This is a developer preview on IP4 of IOS 6, this is similar to google maps, you need to pay for data connection not for maps.

Next week IP4S will come.

Will let you know by then.

I have iphone 4s,since last 6 months,its an amazing product,the camera is one of the best,photos automatically get saved to iCloud account. mine is still running 5.01 ,factory unlocked,jailbroken. I bought mapmyindia sygic maps for iphone. i recommend the same. much better than google maps

Hey guys just forgot to mention, iPhone 4 is unlocked, now i have updated to IOS 5.1.1 Base Band 4.12.01.

hey buddy how much do your bro have to pay to unlock.

is his contract was over ( completed 2 yrs. )

because after 2 yrs when your contracts end and then you can tell them to unclock the carrier.

Even i have iphone 4 with OS 4.3.3 and BB 4.10.01 (AT&T)

use gevey to use airtel sim.
but am unable to ugrade to iOS 5 by preserving BB.
Itunes always gives some or another error.

Well it was sheer luck, as he had to say that he had to use the phone in India, and important thing is case generation number.
Which you have to create with AT&T, and then convey the same to Apple.

The best thing was the contract the phone is sold with.

No didn't try any other unlocking methods.

The same IOS6 with 4S is having option of 3D maps, but still not precise.
As what google maps used to have.

The best part is Siri interacting with you.

Though UK male accent suits well to Indian conditions.

Looks like no one understood.

Its a 4S with IOS 6, which has capability to use Google chrome, which otherwise was impossible in predecessors.
Iphone4s Vs 4








Iphone 4S: Short review.
Siri can browse you TAI, Call someone with correct pronunciation.
But cannot Navigate you in India, which if in US was possible.

Siri is so lively, if you say Good Morning, it gives a reply too.
Siri says Good Morning.

With IOS 6 and 3D maps from TOM TOM is good for look and feel, but location is not accurate as with google.
But the accelerator ensures that the turn you take reflects well in the movement.

Iphone 4S is battery hungry too it last for about 12-13 hours after a full charge.

Ipad3:
This just blew my mind, the HD graphics and stunning looks of the screen was what i liked the most.
All the videos in Youtube, by default plays HD videos seamless.
