Hello All,

Starting this thread as I cannot find anything related to it on any of the other thread. I would request the admins to keep it a separate thread as Nano's wheel dimensions are one of a kind.

I have a 2015 Tata Nano Genx AMT and would like to buy some alloys for it. we dont like the ones provided by the Tata's accessories department.

The wheel size as found out over the internet is 12 inches, 3 holes and a PCD of 100.

Can anyone suggest me any options for 12 and 13 inch alloys and better tyres to go with it?

Regards,
Kinshuk

Hi @kinshuk, nice thread, I'm also in the same boat, for 13" alloys I would suggest you to look around for Kwid dealer, or plati, I can't find much in my city.

You will have to check with dealer, I've limited tech knowledge.

I was told to look for 4.5j to fit slightly wider tyres.

Why I mentioned Kwid, as they have 13" steel rims, so 13" alloys with 3 lugs should be easy to get, as Kwid does good numbers.

Due to 3 lugs on NANO, the alloy options are really less. Although the stock alloys are really good in aesthetic.

If you are thinking of rim upgrade to 13" then probably KWID alloys can best suit.

But even if you get them, still the problem stay with the correct tyre size upgrade. When you upgrade rims to 13" the tyre size than can suit is 155/60 R13. But to find this odd size is really tough in INDIA.

So I would suggest to stay with original 12". Buy TATA original alloys and change to Michelin Energy XM2 with 155/65 R12. That has really good grip and less noise.
It is tried and tested on my dad's Nano 3 years back.

Hey Nanofreak, I called the Platti dealer in Pune, he said he has some options in 12 inches and 13 inches. Planning to go there today evening, will post if I am able to get any pics.

for tyre there is a 155/70 R13 from bridgestone. the wheel arches of Nano does have enough space.

will get some info from the platti dealer as well for the tyres.

Its not all about the wheel arches. The GC will go unexpectedly high, and the ODO reading will also get affected due to this.

Check out the tyre do not rub against extreme left and right steer on bump and pot hole.

12inch, Company: Platti, Price: 17500 for 4 including installation, balancing etc.

Hearing the rates my wife has backed off from the 3rd one, I am trying to convince her otherwise. lets see.

First and the third one looks much better. I would still insist on stying at 12", but its totally your decision.

The best thing I like about the third alloy, it the center hub which is made flat like the OEM's alloy.

Mostly we will finalize the third one itself, it is a 12inch one. Will be able to reuse the tyres otherwise we would have to change the tyres as well with 13 inch.

Thanks @kinshuk for the update, the 12" looks very nice, with the red lip it will jell well with either red or blue Nano. If I recall the oem alloy set was around 12k.

My Lucknow plati dealer has not got back, let me check.

I called the tata dealer Society motors, kanpur, offered 12" Nano alloys (not the Y design) for 11.6k with discount.

Final price for 4 Rs.9624/-, no buyback for steel rims. Should I go for it?
