Tata Cassini (Buzzard) 7 seat SUV spied testing

Tata showcased the 7 seater version of the Harrier this month at the Geneva Motor Show. Called the Buzzard in the European markets, the SUV has a similar design language as of the Harrier. However, just recently the company revealed that the SUV will be named Cassini in India. Now, fresh spy shots have surfaced which show the Indian spec Cassini being tested on roads. The seven-seater SUV was spotted running on stylish alloy wheels and was covered with heavy camouflage prints. As seen in the picture below, the front end is reminiscent of the Tata Harrier.

Happened to encounter the upcoming Tata Buzzard / Harrier 7 seater today on the Avinashi Road, going towards Coimbatore. Was impressive and huge in presence and was being chased by a Crysta (probably another guy trying to take a video) and it was seriously way faster and bigger than the Crysta. The guy tried to slow down when he saw us filming, but still we got good enough.
Coming to the car, it was weird that this humongous beast also had only 17 wheels from the Harrier. Isn't it supposed to get 18 inchers atleast? And I'm not sure whether this car has fully independent or semi independent suspension setup at the rear as the lighting wasn't great. I really wish this gets all the character and equipment to beat the XUV5OO in every way.

Mid-spec Tata Buzzard with Tata Harrier's 17-inch wheels spied [Video]

'Buzzard' is only a provisional name, Tata Motors has confirmed. The name will be something different at the launch, and reports say that 'Cassini' is the name that has been locked. It's no news now that his model is a 7-seat version of the Harrier with a slightly different design. The fact that the test mule seen here is of the Tata Buzzard's mid-spec grade is evident from the fact that it is equipped with the 17-inch alloy wheels of the Tata Harrier. The range-topping configuration will sport 18-inch alloy wheels.

Tata Gravitas SUV: Things We Know So Far

Tata Motors recently announced the name of its upcoming flagship SUV, Tata Gravitas. Slated to be launched in February 2020, the new SUV will essentially be the 7-seater version of the Tata Harrier, of course with a host of cosmetic and design updates to accommodate those two extra seats and to give it a fresher look. While we have already seen the camouflaged test mules of the upcoming Gravitas SUV undergoing testing in India, there is a lot that is yet to be revealed. For now, here are 10 things that we already know about the upcoming 2020 Tata Gravitas.

Here Are 10 Things We Know About The Tata Gravitas:
  1. The new Tata Gravitas is based on the same OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced) architecture, derived from Land Rover's legendary D8 platform, which currently underpins the Tata Harrier. In fact, the Gravitas will be the second model to be based on this new platform.

I have been following other forums as well and folks out there are already predicting demise of Gravitas without knowing any specs and based on speculations of a few. Luckily such discussion are not happening here and its heartening to know.

I would want to have some reasonable wishlist features from Gravitas.

1. Attractive introductory pricing.
2. availability of AT from Day 1
3. Availability of Panoramic sun roof from day one
4. Feature loaded variants and don't mind the variant span between 8-9 lacs.
5. stringent QC'd vehicles out
6. work on the responsiveness of steering
7. Heard they have made the mirrors smaller own to the large blind spot complaint. That is good to know.
8. Bigger ICE
9. Base variant with decent touch screen, and airbags and ABS and disc brakes. Remember most of the Cretas and Seltos sold are entry level ones. Where as most of the Tata cars sold are top variant. Thus you don't the required numbers. Make base variant also VFM option. compared to the competition.

Wow so Crash tests for Gravitas planned before launch. thats a way to go. I love the commitment of Tata motors towards safety. It was more car per car, now we can say more safety per car. or May be "Kitni safe hai?".

Tata Gravitas: Official reveal timeline announced

Tata will launch the all-new Gravitas in the Indian market in 2020. Before the official launch, the brand will showcase the production version of the car at the 2020 Auto Expo. Earlier, it was rumoured that Tata will bring in the new vehicle at the Auto Expo but an official teaser from the brand has now confirmed the unveiling of the car at the upcoming event.

Tata Motors officially released a video in which “Gravitas – Coming in 2020” is written, which pretty much confirms the vehicle’s unveiling at India’s largest automobile exhibition. The all-new Tata Gravitas was earlier showcased at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and the car has been caught testing on the Indian roads under heavy camouflage too. The all-new Gravitas is the seven-seater version of the Tata Harrier and it will replace the Tata Hexa from the line-up.
