Re: Mahindra To Launch All-New Quanto

The sales of the quonto are sub fifty month on month.. an upgrade with a price hike could either be loved and increase sales or (i think) be seen less vfm and give M&M a semi-dud. I feel they should give it a sub 5 lakh entry price or else discontinue in favour of the TUV.

Re: Mahindra To Launch All-New Quanto

Is there a separate thread for TUV 300. Any idea why TUV 300 has a 1650KG kerb weight, some 500KG more than Duster and 350KG more than ES diesel. Ladder on frame chassis compared to Monocoque coupled with Rear wheel drive? This seems to be its biggest Achilles heal as relatively high Torque 230nm advantage is lost because of a heavy body.

Mahindra declared that there will be 9 launches (including Scorpio or excluding Scorpio, don't know).
so 1. New Generation Scorpio,
2. New Age XUV5OO,
3. All New Mahindra Thar,
4. TUV3OO,
5. Mahindra Mojo (it's a bike from M&M stable so....)
6. May be S101/KUV1OO/XUV1OO,
7. New Quanto,
8. New Ssangyong Rexton is launched in other countries, Maybe this will fill this space
9. ??? New Bolero???? No news available at all

Re: Mahindra To Launch All-New Quanto

Mahindra to call the Quanto facelift as Cresto[confused] , placed above the TUV?

Mahindra's could name the Quanto facelift or the Genio as the Cresto or the Imperio. The Indian utility vehicle manufacturer is looking at introducing the Quanto with an all-new name.
The utility vehicle manufacturer will get several changes on this compact SUV, as it will be targeting urban buyers. This new SUV will be coming with features like LEDs, in-built infotainment system with bluetooth, USB and aux. The new compact SUV will be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine mHawk100 that will churn about 100bhp of power and will come connected to a five-speed manual transmission.

Above TUV?
Thats suprirising bro.
When TUV was announced, I thought Mahindra will REPLACE Quanto and focus its effors directly on TUV. The TUV still has some chinks in its armor regarding Poor engine, Tight upright seats etc.

I believe in quality rather than Quantity.

It is true buddy. TUV-3OO by customers was seen as a replacement to Quanto but Mahindra indeed has other plans.

Quoting from my TUV-3OO review,

The TUV-3OO was seen as a replacement/successor of the Quanto, but at the official launch in Delhi, it was clearly stated that Quanto won’t be going off the product portfolio and at suitable time may be a worthy upgrade shall take shape for the Quanto.

Re: Mahindra To Launch All-New Quanto

Whatever said and done,Both TUV and Quanto had almost the same rear .Both look terrible. Mahindra is wasting time on Quanto.Or,they are not sure about TUV's success?

Agreed, Mahindra should've concentrated on TUV300 and making it a best vehicle rather than confusing themselves as well as buyers with closely segmented 2 vehicles.

I've found the performance of TUV300 to be very poor esp as compared to high standards set by Mahindra with respect to XUV500 or New Scorpio. Something like 110~125 BHP engine in smaller TUV300 would've been a Bomb to drive and shall satisfy enthusiasts and laymen alike.
