Even I'm thinking of changing my City's Horns to Skoda Type Horns
do update us after installation,
about cost and warranty issue (if there is) also..
I have installed skoda type horns in my Honda City. It’s a plug and play installation, but to hold the horns in a forward facing position I have gone for custom made clamps. No warranty issues should be there as no wires are cut or spliced for the same. The price was around ₹650 (for a set of two horns) and adding the wiring harness and installation charges cost, it came to ₹1500 if I remember correctly. The horns are performing exceptionally good and the make is Bosch.

Folks,I'm thinking to get rogerabs coils installed in my Honda City along with tyre upsize to 195/60R15.How it will be?Shall I get only tyres upsized or get the rogerabs along with 195/60's as I need some extra ground clearance for Honda city as we always travel on bad roads most of the time.
Go for 195/60 with out rogerabs. I have the same set up in my Honda City. The tires are Michelin xm2’s. The car corners amazingly now, and the ride has bettered a little. One has to experience how a good tire upgrade (stick with a better brand) will transform your car. The fuel efficiency has dropped a bit, but who cares[;)]

can you please show me wiring?
I talked with showroom guy, he said that it can not be fixed as for the stock horns, there is only one wire, but other horns require two wires,
that requires cutting wires..
he said, we need to cut wires if you want to install them.

Does the Honda dealer fix the aftermarket horns if I get it from outside?Im thinking to get my City horns changed to Skoda type horns and I’m worried that these horns harm the car totally.I had already faced this bad experience on our previous Swift, which had roots windtone horns and due to that, our car was the victim of fire.

I feel roots are not future proof unlike Bosch,Hella,Minda.Which is best?Don’t want roots but I’m open to other brands like Bosch, hella and minda.

Honda dealer will never fix market accessories officially.
but if you know any mechanic at honda service center, he may do that unofficially.
I asked and honda service center guy refused.
I upgraded thses horns out side.

Thanks for the inputs blackpearlvkd.I’ll get the horns fixed from outside or from my FNG but worried with my car might get caught with fire.

Recently,my cousin’s husband has got his 2014 Amaze S iDTEC horns changed from Skoda type ones to Roots Vibrosonic Mini as his previous horns were acting up.Does this Roots vibrosonic mini suit Honda City or else shall I go for Skoda type horns.

I guess Amaze got single horn. did he use relay?
you can not directly add double horn in a single horn car, you need relay for that (this could be a reason for fire).
bosch symphony draws 4amp of power.
so when you are moving from single horn to double (also heavier one),
you need relay(to convert single horn power to double horn)

if car already got dual horn (as stock), you can directly add new horns, but always advised to check the power amps.

I couldn't find details for "Roots vibrosonic mini"
is it a single horn or dual?
if single, then you need relay for this.

you got honda city Vmt (2014) right?
Honda city got Dual horn, so no problem for you..
Thanks for the inputs.Does Honda City have relay for the horn?Asking because if I have stock relay,I could install the new horns using stock relay so that I’ll not have any issues with the horn and the car in the future.

And,I’m in a dilemma whether I should go for Minda Trumpet horns or Bosch Symphony horns as I don’t want roots to be fitted in the car.

Need some pure Skoda/VW horns in my car and which is best among these two.

And,have decided to get sunfilm installed in my Honda City as my mom wanted me to install it to prevent heat from outside.A car accessory guy is offering me a Garware sunfilm for ₹2.5k and which is best sunfilm colour which suits my Honda City colour(Golden brown) and want some mafia gangster look for my car.

@Music_Swift
you do not need relay as honda has already got 2 horns.
if car has only 1 horn and customer wants to upgrade to 2 horns
or car has 2 horns and customer wants to change it to 1 horn, then relay is required to control its power supply

I'm using Bosch Symphony horns

I have installed garware ice cool heat protection film on my front wind shield.
I have not installed any sun heat blocking films on side glasses
police is now days very strict about sun films. they don't allow us to use sun film..
