This is my 1st post on this forum, and it is for an advice/help which I need in deciding for an upgrade of the Car Audio HeadUnit of my Honda City 2015 VX model. Following are my requirements, and then the available options, which I researched on. I currently have the stock 5" HeadUnit which only displays the Reverse Cam input as a Video. Otherwise it's purely a normal Audio unit, with Bluetooth enabled telephony.
Requirements:

1. View Google Maps on the Car HeadUnit (Primary)
2. Bluetooth Telephony from the Car HeadUnit (Primary)
3. Retain my Steering Controls for Audio & Telephony (Primary)
4. Retain my existing Reverse Parking Cam and its input (Primary)
5. View Video files from DVD/VCD/USB/Phone (Secondary)
6. View Phone's screen on the HeadUnit (Secondary)
7. Upgrade in Sound Quality (Secondary)

Models Researched (My Budget is 20k – 30k max):

1. Pioneer AVH-X2890BT – Within my budget, but has a limitation of displaying only a few Apps from the phone to the HeadUnit. Request anyone who is already using this to share if the Navigation Apps under the Pioneer AppRadio USB mode are good for India.
2. Pioneer AVH-X5890BT – Within my budget. Same features as 2890BT but with a bigger screen
3. Pioneer AVH-X8890BT – Outside my budget, but has the advantage of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay enabled. So can think for this if anyone has already used and can provide feedback
4. JVC KW-V620BTM – On the max boundary of my budget. It is HDMI Wireless enabled, so can mirror the phone screen directly to the car, and all Apps can be displayed. The only issue I can foresee here is that I would have to keep my mobile screen ‘On’ to enable this mirroring, which would drain down the battery
5. CASKA Universal System CO-AT 1624 – Within my budget. But have read a lot about the unit hanging and slow to respond. It does not mirror the phone screen and also uses maps of its own. Also not sure about the After-Sales Service for this brand.

So my request would be to provide your inputs if you have used any of the above systems, or can suggest any other system based on my requirements stated above. I stay in Pune, so any help regarding the genuine shops and prices would also be appreciated. I would be retaining my Speakers, because I’m not a big enthusiast of sound quality in the car, and feel the current output Ok, which is bound to get better on the upgrade of the HeadUnit alone.

Need advice Honda City 2016 Grill

Hello All,

I am new here so hope I am posting this in the correct forum.

I have a RHD Honda City Sedan Thailand 2015 vehicle (not sure if to post the VIN here or not). I bought it last year.

I would like to replace the chrome grill (and black grill inside) to something similar.

What can I replace that with? I have been checking this out หน้าà¸à¸£à¸°à¸ˆà¸±à¸‡ABS ทรง MG สำหรับ CITY-2014 .

Does anyone know if that can be used? Or do you guys have any other suggestions? I really want to get a new grill ASAP.

Oh. Great. I'm not alone . Even I'm looking for a sunglass holder. My armrest cabin is currently filled with glasses which needs to be vacated. Even I too don't like the clips.

I would like to share my findings in sunglass holder re-search. There are 3 types.

Type 1: Installed in Grab rail area.

Sunglasses holder - Civinfo

As per this DIY, there should be a grab handle space to have a nice installation. Honda City 2014 has space to install this type of sun glass holder. Now my doubt is how the installation screw will be held rigidly above the driver seat area. I'm looking for an answer.

Availability of Product: Not available in Hyderabad, snapdeal, ebay.in etc. Available in Aliexpress (Need to look for good quality and cost)

Type 2: Roof mounted along with map reading lamps.

As per above DIY, we can install sunglass holder along with map reading light. Honda City has a space & profile to accommodate the sun glass holder.

To fix the sunglass holder rigidly, we should have a clamps like the below pic to fasten the screws properly (which is not available in DIY)

India Honda CRV, map lamp with sunroof opening and sun glass holder will match in Honda City (need to cut the roof for accommodating the sunglass portion, balance looks same). Mostly all Honda's sunglass holder with map reading light look same interms of size. We need to look for our options like Mic, Sunroof opening with US / EU products.

Available: Not available in Hyderabad, snapdeal, ebay.in, aliexpress. may be need to source from US / EU shopping site. May be sourced through Honda Dealers. Tried in Hyderabad, dealer is not much cooperative to order and install.

Guys, my car's handrest lock is broken. Much to my misery, none of the honda dealers seem to have the handrest lock, as a result the handrest keeps open/causes inconvenience and looks bad.
Any suggestions for fixing it?

Folks,I'm thinking to get rogerabs coils installed in my Honda City along with tyre upsize to 195/60R15.How it will be?Shall I get only tyres upsized or get the rogerabs along with 195/60's as I need some extra ground clearance for Honda city as we always travel on bad roads most of the time.

Honda city 2017 accessories

Hi Experts,

I am planning to buy a base model honda city S variant. I prefer to buy a top end but due to financial constraint I can't. My question is
1. Is it possible to upgrade all features into my base model city which are present in top end except sun roof ?
2. It would be helpful to find the list of accessories or features which can be added to base variant and which are not.

I myself have used it, they are easy to apply and remove and scratch resistant !

As per my knowledge you can upgrade all features except the sun roof.
