Re: Nokia Lumia Series Smartphones Discussions and Experiences

do it quick before it goes OOS.

it will serve both your purpose.

an L620 for price near to L520

a better phone
and you would get the phone in time(most important).
To me, if red is available then I like it more than others

That offer of L620 is awesome buddy, grab it quickly
Thought about going for L620 but somehow want to gift L520 to my dad as i still think it looks much better. Will wait till it comes on order in Flipkart.

Regards,
Sankar

You can call up your bank and convert to EMIs. If univercell gives at 9900 and your bank charges 300Rs for 6 month EMIs, still cheaper than Flipkart !

Converting to emi by calling HDFC credit card will have an monthly interest of 3% which i am not keen on taking. That's why i insist on online stores where i can convert the purchase to 6 equal emi at 0% interest.[:)]

If it is 3% interest, then it is the actual CC interest only. What is the point in converting to emi if they charge the same interest ?
If you convert to EMI, the interest rate would be much low. They just take the processing fee for EMI and not interest (I have done many times on my ICICI credit card)

When i bought the camera from ebay, i called up ICICI and converted it to 6 months for 1300RS (For 61400). ie, less than 2.5% for 6 months . I felt that was okay !

Dude it monthly interest not yearly interest. so 2.5% per month would calculate to 15% interest for 6 months. Also if i convert to emi using flipkart i incur charges of 200-300rs only but calling a bank and converting to emi will incur charges between 1500-2000 in interest.

I know dear. No CC will give 3% interest for an year. it is 36% for the balance amount (if you pay the minimum due).
I said, I just paid interest of 1300 for 6 months. That is for 61000Rs. That is done by calling bank.

What my question was, if you are charged 3% monthly interest for EMIs, why people will call up the bank and ask for EMIs? Even if you dont convert to EMIs, they charge the same amount 3% (36% annual interest) right ?

Normally they charge lesser interest if you convert to EMIs. Flipkart EMI may be cheaper as there is only processing fee and no interest !

When you call your bank , please ask "What is the benefit if i convert to emi's if you are charging the same interest"

And, In my case - the total interest paid for 6 months are 1300 ! Approximately 220RS per month came extra for 6 months
Sorry for going Off Topic

@Appus, Sankar

Please check with Universal, they have 0% EMI offer, but on select phones, probably they may give for 520 too[:)]
