Can someone plz help whre can i connect this tachometer in the diesel engine. toyota 2LT the blue wire should be connected to which teriminal in diesel engine.
If the RPM meters are blowing off or the needle is vibrating it is due to excessive and uneven voltage. Maybe this circuit can help.
This Circuit provides a constant 12V output from 11v to 18v input. The parts used can be easily found in any electronic repair or spares shop. The most important thing is to use a good heat-sink with this IC as it heats up a lot to control the voltage.
I have used this circuit many a times with combination of 7895 IC to provide constant 12v 5v output to many electrical components.
Hi I have installed the tacho in my 800.
Did some DIYs. Made a meter cage for the tacho out of acrylic sheet, changed the tachometer light to white LED etc.

Please post a DIY thread about your tacho install with as many pictures as possible. I am hunting for a good clamp & a reasonably priced tacho. Your DIY will help us a lot.
@varun - Finally cracked the ECU signal. Compared all Suzuki manuals and reached conclusion Brown wire is ECM signal for tacho. Searched speedo unit coupler for brown wire and oyla only one brown wire. Dared to connect it and it worked. Needle went all the way upto redline (most installs showed unly 4k at redlining because of half split distributor signal in Wagon R and Estilo)
