My seats are combinations of pure leather and pu art leather. The center (body touching) part is pure leather whereas other parts are art leather.
The guy from Pensee is dealer of pure and automotive leather in bangalore, so taking directly from him helps a bit.

. Paid 20K plus for branded leather slip ons from Honda showroom few years ago for old city. And subsequently researched on why it did not look like what comes from the factory. Again the term automotive leather is being used in a sneaky way by your vendor. Automotive leather is genuine leather that meets certain technical specs. It is not artificial leather or man made leather. Many of them claim to be dealers and pass of locally made leather with no minimum specs as imported stuff to match low prices. Cheap genuine leather covers is not a good idea. Better to use all art leather with an OE fitment at that price. It will be a much better feel and look. my 2 cents.
