One thing I got by this scratch that the paint layer in bumper is very thin, don’t know about the body. By slight scratch, the black plastic can be visible. In my bike I fixed many scratches by polishing and the paint layer was very think.

Congrats for the verna mate. Waiting for more pictures. [:)] just one suggestion get rid of the ribbon from front bonnet asap as it can lead to scratches on your bonnet.
You were right buddy, I removed the ribbon on the same day. however the ribbons didn’t scratch but after removing it leaves its color over the bonnet which didn’t removed by shampoo wash. Probably due to rain it leaves the color.

Yes I know this won’t help but it was sound like serious. The sales guy said if I gave a bad rating then Hyundai he will got a call from Delhi head office and he has to visit physically to explain all. I don’t know how far is that true.

In our city its really horrible, people on the roads has no sense. The same thing happened with my bike when it was brand new. Like you said these people have no sense that they did a wrong thing. That’s why I always try to make my car and bikes away from these and try to drive in less traffic road even if the way is longer (in Km) than short ways.

With our previous car once I was driving on highway and one ambassador car hit from behind, the rear bumper took all the hit and very minor damage on the bumper. I came out and slap the driver by left hand and that was the correct thing for him. But this time it was in my locality and the situation was if I stay there a few second another one could do the same, I was surrounded by all.

So what if he would need to go there physically, that does not mean they have to treat us like trash or keep messing stuff up even a customer that buys an eon has to be treated with utmost respect which these guys do not give. The lady sales person i saw at a few showrooms they are pretty more knowledgeable and more polite plus they do get stuff sorted.
I guess i will be putting in a complaint, my dad had asked them to still provide the bill breakdown of my last service for which they charged 9000 bucks and just gave a bill with paid service 9000 written no breakdown of parts nothing and plus they stole around 700ml of my synthetic oil

Hey Nick, these guys are insane they have no respect for their customer. I’ve faced this with a Hyundai showroom sales guy. Even I do provide service and our clients is god for us, we treat with them this way. But I was surprised to see this.
Regarding the servicing, no ASC can provide a bill without a breakdown (If not a complete FREE of cost parts change etc). Ask them by force, if no luck then tell them otherwise you’ve to complain Hyundai etc.

Anyway just took a 60 km up/down drive. It was awesome. Like you said after sometime on the way back I was very confident while driving even it was dark. And gear change is also ok, just keep my eye on the RPM and sometime just feels to shift up or down. It’s a awesome car. The road was very bad bog potholes everywhere but didn’t touch the body, however I was driving slow and carefully.

Soumen, many congratulations for your Fluidic Verna. Sad to see the scratch, but then they are bound to occur. I love the new alloy wheel design which looks far more sophisticated than the earlier ones.

PS: BTW I really wonder how you guys manage to save your car from on busy streets of Kolkata. I had been to your City twice in past 3 months, and each time I could witness minor accidents involving a Duster and Old gen verna getting dented due to no fault of theirs!

can you post pictures to show whats new and different from the previous vernas.
I guess you are referring to my post. I was impressed with the new alloys which look much smarter than the earlier ones. Posting images from TAI Official Road test thread and of Soumen's car.

Wheel design on the earlier version

THe new redesigned alloys.

More over the other changes were removal of third headrest rest at the rear, backlit power window buttons, 5th steel wheel instead of ally in top end variants. BTW you being a Verna owner yourself must be aware of these updates no?[;)]

Thanks Akash, yes the scratch made me feels sad but the roads here we have is very worse. I need to take special care as of now while driving. Moreover I will not use this car for narrow roads, most of the time highway drives. People here on the roads are creazy.

Regarding the new alloy, as per me both wheels are good, the earlier one is something which is best for any color verna, but the newer one is something it looks best with the dark silver color (like nick’s car) if you see the new ally color tone. But its well as its upadated, it makes the car difference from other earlier verna. Regarding the update, its actually a downgrade but nothing to do, I had to take a recent manufactured car.
