Yamaha’s Blue Square dealerships to introduce Global products in India

India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has set up 100 Blue Square showrooms across India, the company said in a statement. The latest announcement comes with the company’s plans to establish its entire 3S network under the Yamaha Blue theme and strengthen its retail footprint in the Indian market. According to India Yamaha, the Blue Square showrooms will soon introduce Yamaha's global product range in India. Although the company has not mentioned which models will be introduced, we're banking on India Yamaha finally introducing the Yamaha Tenere 700 adventure bike in India. If the Yamaha T7 is launched in India, at an attractive price, it certainly has a lot going for it, light kerb weight, great off-road manners and accessibility.

Yamaha has setup 200 Blue Square Showrooms in India, which were first introduced in 2019.

Yamaha Blue Square outlets are designed to facilitate a deep connection with Yamaha's Racing DNA and serve as a thriving hub for customers to engage with the exclusive Blue Streaks rider community.

The company also plans to introduce its global product range including the larger displacement bikes through these premium Blue Square outlets in future.

Yamaha now has 300 Blue Square showrooms operational

Yamaha Motor India has expanded its premium Blue Square dealer network to 300 outlets across India. Yamaha has managed to set up 300 dealerships in less than two years from the time when it announced its plans to convert all its dealerships into Blue Square outlets.

A Blue Square outlet, Yamaha claims, is a premium dealership that offers exclusive bike and scooter models alongside the company’s apparel and accessories. Currently, the Yamaha R3, MT-03 and the Aerox 155 scooter are the only models sold through a Blue Square outlet. These showrooms also feature official Yamaha merchandise and motorcycle maintenance products.

However, Yamaha envisions a future where all its products will be retailed exclusively through its Blue Square dealerships. Going further, the company has plans in motion to transform all of its dealerships across the nation into Blue Square outlets in approximately two years' time. When Yamaha launches its first EV and larger capacity, multi-cylinder models, they will all retail alongside the existing line-up of small-capacity two-wheelers in Blue Square dealerships.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Eishin Chihana, chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies said, "It brings me immense joy to announce the successful completion of a significant milestone under 'The Call of the Blue' campaign. Yamaha has achieved the remarkable feat of launching 300 Blue Square showrooms across India.”

Yamaha Motor today celebrated its 69th Foundation Day along with its subsidiaries across the globe.

• On this special occasion, India Yamaha Motor with its Blue Streaks riding community collaborated with the NGO - SMILE Foundation to support the underprivileged children.
• On 7th July, the Blue Streaks riders will visit the schools operated by the NGO in 12 cities, interact with the students and provide essential educational materials.
• These riders will also take exclusive sessions to educate the children on basic road safety measures, emphasizing the importance of wearing helmets, understanding traffic signals, and following pedestrian rules.
• Alongside, the company’s dealer network, on behalf of the India Yamaha Motor, extended the celebrations of Yamaha Day 2024 to customers by inviting them to the showrooms and hosting a cake-cutting ceremony.
• The dealer partners apprised the customers about the company’s legacy and the products introduced in the last 69 years. Yamaha India hosted a series of engaging activities for its employees and their families as well.

India Yamaha Motor has announced a significant achievement in their manufacturing history, celebrating the success of the Made-in-India, Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid, in the European Market.

• The model has witnessed outstanding sales performance in the market with around 13,400 units shipped between January to July period in 27 European countries.
• Yamaha Ray ZR is sold in countries like UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, Greece and Portugal. IYM began exporting the Ray ZR models to 27 countries in Europe from January this year.
