I have the Jio Air fiber connection. The Wi-Fi connection is good everywhere except one room where I just get very low network.

I have purchased a Tp-link Range extender (AC750) and installed just near the room (upper corner room of my 2-storey house). I get only a marginal improvement, but not sufficient to browse long files.

Then, I have purchased Ethernet cable (25 meters) and directly connected between the router and extender, but the situation is not improved.

Please advise:

1) If I have to do any extra settings for the Ethernet cable connection?

2) Or do I have to connect the cable direct from the router to my Laptop (unfortunately, my laptop does not have an Ethernet port) to get good network coverage?.

The second option looks feasible. I used a wifi range extender once. It did not improve the Internet speed much. You can buy a USB Ethernet port an install it in your laptop.

Another thing you can try is changing the placement of your Wifi router. Place it somewhere where the obstruction between the wifi extender and the router is minimal.
