Great review. I did not know that the UC comes with the Abarth as an option. It would surely be a great combination. Its great that it does not come with the unnecessary decals of the Abarth Punto, and still gives all the features. The ground clearance makes it a much more practical car than the Abarth Punto, though yes, you may lose a little on the handling part.
Is there any difference in the suspension tuning of the UC powered by Abarth or is it same as the Avventura Urban Cross?

I used to own a Palio 1.6 S10, before I had to move to a Ford Figo Diesel for a more fuel efficient car. Its great to see that Fiat finally found a replacement for the Palio 1.6 to reclaim the hot hatch segment.

Can you describe more about the left pulling you have mentioned in the dislikes? Is it an alignment issue with your car, or a general issue with the model as such?

Congratulations on your Abarth.
I too am a fan of Fiat/Abarth and we do have a 2010 Linea Emotion at Home. My heart is out to the Abarth Punto and the Abarth Avventura for the engine itself. Happy Driving
Thank You Prakritij. Yes, Abarth Tjet engine is really mind blowing and ultimate pleasure is guaranteed for the life.

Hi,
Congratulations on your new FIAT Abarth version of Avventura. Wishes to clock many more miles without issues.
Thanks very much Ambylovers. [:)]

Fantastic review Raaj. I was sitting on the fence for Linea tjet or abarth. However had to postpone the decision considering future of Fiat. Fiat cars are addictive for sure.
Thanks very much, amiti. Yes, Fiat cars are like best pals for car lovers. Hopefully, you get a better choice soon as per your requirements.

ankathil.arjun, thanks a lot for your kind words.
With my understanding, Urban Cross has got stiff suspension like Punto Abarth, when compared to Avventura Abarth. It was tweaked to go hassle free usage in city, highway or little offroad usage etc. Simply another fantastic suspension from Fiat.

Regarding left pulling, its a old problem with all Fiat cars across Punto and Linea platforms. Not every car may not have this problem. But, if it has, It can be rectified with the proper alignment procedure. I have proper FCA procedure in PDF file, but I couldn't able to upload it here because its 2.5 MB.

Thanks a lot suryars for your appreciation. Regarding mileage, it's very fuel efficient engine if driven sedately between 60 to 80. My next target will be 25 kms mileage per liter. [:D]

Birthday Gift

Not much of an update. ODO is 13,400 kms and I must say, I enjoyed every bit of driving her.

Iam planning to install bigger inter cooler i.e. Airtec and customized CAI to have even more better performance. Will update on that once it's done.

On the occasion of the first year birthday, gifted her Abarth badges and the Abarth pedals. The car looks stunning now. Let the pictures speak.

Thanks @Raaj for the decent honest review of your Urban Cross.

Had this brand been with a mass mover name, would have gone places.

Airtec Intercooler Installation

Abarth is an awesome mean machine with insane power and great driving dynamics. But it has few flaws, the most notable one is it's puny intercooler. Seriously, it should go for the dogs. With stock intercooler, on a heavy summer afternoon, you feel like you are driving a car that has just lost it's Turbo.

Prelude: We have a Whatsapp group by name "Veterans Garage" with like minded people where we always discuss about some interesting car related topics than usual junk. One of such topics was Intercooler. First this topic was raised by Adneo aka Aditya and provided enough reason to upgrade the intercoolers. Then two brave men i.e. Keroo1099 aka Kedar Sir and Patchboy aka Rajan Sir experimented in their Tjet stock intercoolers with some extensive research and discussions in our whatsapp group and then upgraded to bigger intercoolers. You can see their experiments in the following links.

PatchyBoy DIY: Bigger Intercooler Install for Fiat Linea T-Jet

With the above inspiration, I decided to give it a try and ordered Airtec Intercooler from UK.

And let the pictures speaks. [clap]

Done and dusted. White Scorp got more power now.

Post Installation Observations:
• Stock car itself has minimal lag. But post installation, it almost disappeared. Practically I feel like, iam driving an NA engine both in city and highway
• This 140 BHP powered car is already on beast mode. But, with this bigger IC, it's pulling power improved even more.
• On a hot summer afternoon, this intercooler works like charming. With better IAT drop, no more power-loss and hence better performance.
• Better mileage

Last but not least, thanks a lot to adneo (Aditya), keroo1099 (Kedar Sir), PatchyBoy (Rajan Sir) and Sainath Mugundan for their excellent support and suggestions all through the process of this installation.

Very well written review. The pictures made me drool.

For bottle holders, you could use the door pockets too. The top of the bottle would be slightly out but it won't fall out. On the other hand, the actual bottle holder in my car could not bottle on bad roads, as it will fall out.

Wolf Rajiv and me know each other for a little over a year. He is nice chap. I requested him to stop at Anantapur while he was going to Hyderabad on 3rd June 2018. On a highway dhaba while having tea, he explained about his remaps. Until that time, I have no plans to remap my car atleast for another year or two. But then, suddenly adrenaline got into it and here we go. Let the pictures speaks....

Wolfmoto offers switchable maps. Apart from stock map, it have three more remaps. I felt reasonable difference post remap. But, I need to check properly with 99octane whenever I go to Bangalore or some other big city.
