Hello guys time has come today i will have to change the tyre of my Zen Oct 2001.
Zen has started wobbling at 30 kmph.
So which one should i go for.

I am thinking of Appollo Accelere.
With 2nd thoughts of Bridgestone.

BS is costing 2550/ tyre for tube type.
Tubeless 150 more.

Can i go for tubeless with existing rims?

Tyres mukesh, you can go for tube less tires on your existing steel rims.

Since your Zen has to travel on all kinds of roads, i would suggest you to go for Yokohama or Appollo Accelere. Bridgestones are too noisy.

Thank you all for the reply.
Yes i went for Michelin's Tubeless on my exisiting rims.
Ride comfort & braking has improved a lot, filled all tyres with nitrogen.

2.6 k/ tyre.
Wheel balacing & alignment 450.
Nitrogen 250.

Maruti Zen Tyre Upgrade Suggestion

I want to change my Zen mpfi 2006 Tyres, I am already having 12" plati alloys which are of same size of the company fitted alloys.
Please suggest 12" tyre and approximate cost.
Is there any way to increase GC using tyre upgrade? I don't want to change alloys.

Re: Zen tyre upgrade suggestion

Dear TAIn's any suggestion?
I am intended towards Michelin but they are costlier by 500 rs from other tiers. Is it worth to spend that extra?

Tire size calculator

Surfer use the above link to choose the suitable upgrade size so that you wont face any problems in the future.

I would suggest Michelin if your driving is going to be on smooth tarmac on most of the cases. Michelin's are soft compound and hence they don't last that long but are extremely comfort oriented and silent.

Hi All,

This is my first post and need some suggestions in fixing my Zen 2003 Lx.

1. It has the stock rims 12" with JK tyres. - How about upgrading them to 155/65-13? Bridgestone tyres and need suggestion for alloys/R13 rims of Esteem. It doesn't have a power steering will this change cause any adverse effect being wider than stock?

2. Front right headlight, Indicator, Bumper & and right fender is damaged. Which will be the best workshop in Bangalore East for this job?

Thanks in Advance.
