There are definite advantages in terms of convenience but there are other cons I can think of as below.

1. Personal Experience: I was driving my friends Grand i10 Asta (O). He was sitting next to me with the keys in his pocket. I was borrowing the car from him for the day, so dropped him at a bus stop while at a signal. He took a bus in front of me and went off. After a few minutes, still at the signal, the engine shut off. And of course it wont start because the key was not there. I understand the user needs to be smart, sometimes in a hurry we may tend to overlook things.

2. What if the battery of the remote goes bonkers or you drop it in a puddle of water? You are stranded then. A key wont get affected by that.

3. Suppose your car battery gets drained and you donot have a jump cable. The option will be push start. The minimal damaging way for the engine, is to use the self starter and releasing the clutch at the same time. That is not possible with push button, since it will only work with the clutch depressed.

Push Buttons are no doubt convenient, however during those rare emergency situations its the keys that rule.

Completely agree with the views of you guys opting for key start over push button start. In my opinion convenience features like these should be offered as optional, whereas all safety related features should be standard across all variants from manufacturers

Voted for Push Start. At first, I too wasn't liking it thinking of possibilities of missing the key fob. Moreover, the conventional way of starting the car is missed. However, started liking it of late for it's smartness, luxury and fool proof mechanism. Moreover, we got to keep up with the growing technological world [;)]

Can you share more details with some snaps? Is it an OE accessory? Or else how does it deal with immobilizers?

Sure I will upload some snaps for this. It has its own immobilizer which communicates with existing immobilzer. The immobilzer generates code every 30 secs and this push button immobilizer communicates and generate code in every 1 sec so it just like RSA token. Once you install thia then you will not be able to use your existing security system locking / unlocking feature. This system links with remote and it automatically locks / unlocks car when its comes in radar. The main security if someone start car and take away then after 50-100 meters car stops and generate loud sound becauae this system links with car horn.

I found this system really good and i faced some issues when i started using it but company provided me good service and all my issuea resolved.

Let me know if you have more questions about this product.

i wish they could have added a finger print scanner on the push button [glasses]
What if someone else need to start the car for emergency?
Leave apart the emergency scenario, will you stay with the car in garage when it is getting serviced?

I would not mind a car with both the features. Push Button for normal times and an integrated key which can be used during emergencies

Push-Buttom for me.
At first I am not much confident to use them Since I am used to key start. But then as the days go by, I am used to the convenience it offers like we don't even need to get the key out of pocket even while entering as well as exiting and also its fool proof mechanisms like it wont lock with the key inside the car.

Cons :
Sometimes when the engine gets stalled in the middle of traffic, I used to panic a lot since I used to feel less confident as what if something goes wrong with push button electricals. That is the only reason I can think of. But, its a matter of getting used to, since we don't get stalled often, do we[glasses]?

For me its a key start.

Its more like getting involved with the vehicle. You slot in the key, the immobiliser is turned of.
you turn it once the electrical systems start, the dial illuminates, the turbocharger gets heated, music system starts.
Then u twist further and the engine comes to life. Well its like you are communicating with your vehicle. I like it that way. I guess I am old school but still like that way.

This is possible with push-button too.
Push the button without using the clutch - accessories get life
Push it again (without using clutch) - Dials illuminate, other electrical parts get life
Push it with clutch pedal depressed - engine gets life

My answer can be funny for all of you though imagine if this happens. You are having a car with a push button start. You are cruising in the highway at a speed of 120 km/h. You have a very playful kid. He presses the push button and the engine switches of. Then you can imagine the scenario what's going to happen. Yes, there are sensors which do not allow this to happen but imagine if those sensors are absent in the car.
