What Do You Dislike in Your Car?

Toyota Etios:

Love the low end torque, reliable engine and planted drive. But dislikes are:

a. Plain vanilla interiors
b. No features - no seat height adjustment, electrically adjustable ORVM etc.
c. Missing audio controls on steering wheels(I have VD version)
d. No information shared like mileage, distance to empty etc. (though it is OBD II compliant)

No MID (used an OBD adapter and Android phone but too difficult)
No seat height adjust
Low boot space
No electronic folding wing mirror
Placement of AC vents
No USB in music system
Only one 12V socket

Most of cars are having headlights issue. No car is able to suffice with 55-60 W light provided as per law.

Dislikes:
Interior fit and finish.
Week headlights.
Blind spot due to thick A piller.

My previous car - Tata Manza

dislikes:
Exterior is too bulky.
Interior plastic quality, fit and finish and panel gaps
Smaller wheel size compared to the exterior dimension of the car.
Steering wheel is too big.

Sail UVA LS the following could be better -

- Horn area to be more than the small patch given on steering
- Rear windshield could be wider for better rear view
- Rear seat headrest should be removable
- Glove box could have been bigger - space exists - currently lock assemble is taking up space

Hyundai Elite i20
Dislikes -
1. No FE Indictor & Distance to Empty (Cost Cutting)
2. No DRLs
3. No Automatic Wipers
4. Rattling Plastics
5. Poor Brakes
6. Small Mirrors

Out of the above points, the brakes are worst I would rate among all cars I have driven & owned. My Brio's brakes are 10 times better then i20. If you're fast and need to brake quickly, you have to brake well before 300m to stop. Dont know how other i20 owners have felt, but I have felt it after driving Ecosport, Rapid, Jetta. These cars brakes are much much better.

Ya, Asta Diesel. Apart from brakes, the most annoying thing is the plastic, many have said i20 build quality to be segment best. But if build quality is good then why do the plastics rattle on car that is just 24 days old. Punto & Polo feel better built. My 2 year old Brio doesn't rattle at all and so many people say Brio build to be poor, but in reality its the other way around. I should have waited for Jazz and I realize my mistake.

Honda Brio:

1. AC Cooling not effective (this may be a particular case for my car)

2. Tyre noise too much, may be because of the brand i.e. JK tyres

One thing more, dislikes are heavily overshadowed by the likes for this car.

1. Same case with my car, in normal condition it cools quickly but on hot and sunny days it takes time.

2. Depends upon the tyres, mine are Michelin and they are quiet. JK Tyres are generally noisy.

Which variant is you're Brio ?

One thing more, dislikes are heavily overshadowed by the likes for this car.

This car is a wonderful little machine, many will not agree but after driving they might. Apart from lack of some features, there aren't any glitches with this car.

My Honda Brio SMT, done around 5000kms till date:

Dislikes:
- Hard gear shifts - first and second.
- harsh ride quality.
- High tire noise on concrete roads (stock goodyear).
- Interior switches like power window, steering controls, head light adjustment etc are not illuminated
- no auto locking doors when car moves.

Note: Positives far outweigh the negatives - its nearly a perfect city car. For highway use, look elsewhere.

Hyundai i20 Crdi.
1. The gear Ratio of Swift is better than i20(especially the tall 3rd gear).
2. The Feather light steering.
Though I am accustomed to both these after 40K kms of usage.

Swift Dzire- well when you try to reverse your car then the real negative of the car comes forward. due to the rising parcel tray the rear is very difficult to judge.
Volkswagen vento- i personally don't like the interior plastic quality its doesn't make me feel i m in a volkswagen
