I suggest and rate Wego is the best from the lot for many reasons like price, road stability, braking, suspension, fuel lid placing, long term durability[:)]

Mahindra Two Wheelers have an awesome range you can try - Mahindra Rodeo, Durodz & into the bike segment you have the new launches - Pantero & Centuro.

I would suggest you to go for Wego as it deliver's a competent package at an affordable price, and being TVS maintaining the ride should not be too heavy on your pocket in the long run.

Wego has been rated high by a couple of our fellow members.

Regarding Ray, i havent seen much of them on road, nor have heard people talking about it as a good prospect.

Did you look out for Vespa? Its a great package as well.

Honda, its a win win situation for them, as waiting is on for almost all models which could be seen on road. Hence, the dont care attitude is no surprise. Apart from Activa, Dio is also a good package.

I would say, Vespa --- Dio / Activa = Suzuki Acess = Wego --- Yamaha Ray = Pleasure
Thanks for the update. have tried for vespa but unfortunately no dealer is available in our small town. WEGO seems to be a good vehicle. Should I have a look to Suzuki Access too ?

Yesterday TD the Yamaha RAY along with my daughter. The look is impressive though its the plastic body. The height is very much approachable and she found it very comfortable as the grounding is more easy in comparison to other scooters.

The driving and stability is OK but it is not comparable to WEGO. Look wise obviously it is a strong contender of the lot and its looks stunning.

My concern is the head light is fixed that means it not moves along with the handle bar. As TORNADO has quoted there will be problem I also think so. It will be difficult to judge the road during turning though it is not a deal breaker.

The stands are not so convenient in compare to wego. My daughter faced isse to get it stand and kick start the scooter. Where as the kick lever of wego is in convenient position as well as the stand is much more convenient to engaged in comparison to any other scooters in this segment. Though every scooters has side stand but occasionally she may requires to start the scooter by kick hence it should be easy to her.

Thanks "Visran":lol!: for your valuable input regarding the cost of ASS. I have not considered this aspect earlier and was only thinking about present. Is any WEGO owner can highlight the oil seal leakage problem or idling issue in the current manufactured wego ? Is still these issues are persisting.

@cool

Yes Ray is a beautiful scooter and impressive too, but Yamaha service and spares cost, availability will make your life miserable !!

We have a Wego with our friend which is 2 years old and never faced any such clutch issue and believe me it is really easy to drive, good pick up, excellent telescopic shocks like bike, easy to maintain and cheap service and parts[:)]

Thanks to all good wishers for their suggestion and ideas :agree::. Yes ultimately decided for Wego in white colour and the same was gifted to my daughter after she got her result of CBSE class X.

The cost including insurance was 52K and yes she satisfied with this scooter. Though she was inclined to Yamaha Ray but now after driving wego has find out lot of positive points .

Brilliant balance is a charm and handling is really very good. The lighting with 5A battery is really one of the very strong point in comparison to other scooters plying in the road.

Thanks again all of you for the help they have extended to choose this scooter.[thumbsup]
