VW Golf GTI To Launch In India

Volkswagen is gearing up to bring the hot-hatch Golf GTI to Indian shores by mid-2025. It’ll be introduced under the government’s homologation-free import scheme that permits upto 2,500 units per annum. (Source: Link)

• Volkswagen Golf GTI will rivals the likes of Mini Cooper S. Expect the price range upwards of 40 lakh rupees.
• VW Golf GTI has a claimed 0-100 Kmph figure of 5.9 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds quicker than its predecessor. Top speed is restricted to 250 Kmph.
• It’s offered with a 2.0L, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol motor which delivers 265 BHP and 370 Nm torque. The front wheel-drive hatch is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch auto transmission.
