Here's how it works.

there is also a switch on the remote which can open the boot.

Yep, that's also there. But I did find the remote not up to the mark. At times, you need to press really hard to use the remote. I got one set of keys replaced for free since it had some problems. I feel Fiesta's key was much better in quality. But the window opening feature is really useful at times.

@Thomas - I got it from Vytilla. It's right opposite the Vytilla Bus stop (Bus stop towards Thripunithara direction). There are couple of small shops there. You wont miss it.
BTW, completed 15kms and did the service. Overall, satisfied with the service and delivered the car on time. Here's the bill.

10k for the first service seems ok imo. no parts changed. (like brake pads ). how does the car feel after the first service ? has the mileage improved ?
I felt the windshield cleaner is a rip off, Why were the engine oil billed seperately(4+1 litres).
Also why does air filter needs a replacement so early?
It needs to be cleaned right.

Excellent review.We are also getting Vento by this week.It is Terra Beige Color.It is 2012 April,but manufactured in 02/2012 and it is Highline TDI only.Car had done 12700 Km in almost 1 year.

For switching on the windshield washer (front), we have to pull the wiper stalk towards us or away from us? I was trying my best and could not figure this out.
