Used Skoda Superb OR Hyundai Sonata Embera (Bought Skoda Laura L&K)

Its very good to know that you are Happy with the car. I think , that is all that matters . Being happy each time while getting into the car. I even create opportunities to take my car for drives.

My car is doing great, it has a little above 1 L on odo. No problems till now. But my family (mom, dad and bro). They need a little more space at the back. That has been the only problem with my car. They love the ride quality of the car on highways, but rear legroom has been a huge problem. So i might upgrade to a Laura .

How will you comment on the Rear Legroom of pre facelift Laura? Is it smaller than the face lifted one(diff wheel base ) ? And how are the brakes in the Car , in 150 + kmph? What is the top speed you have achieved with the 1.9 PD. And do you think i should check the 2.0 CR MT 110 hp version?

My friend who works for Skoda Service, says, PD is better in long term Reliability than the CR ? What you think ?

I never knew that new and old Laura have different wheel base.. I've never been in the backseat of my car and I am 5 foot 7 inch so my opinion on rear legroom won't really matter to you. But i can tell you that it has more legroom than Octavia but less than Optra.

The highest speed that i've touched on my Laura is 135 Km/h. Don't worry about the brakes , Laura has some pretty fancy stuff like All wheel Disks, electronic stability program,Traction Control,ABS,Anti Slip Regulation,Electronic Brake distribution and mechanical brake assistant.

The 2.0 CR is a 140 BHP Engine. I've never heard about long term reliability issues with the 2.0 CR but i could be wrong.

Few more doubts , does LK have folding side view mirrors ? I cant find the proper specifications of the Indian spec'd LK version.

Do you know what are all the features , extras the LK gets over the Elegance version ? Will make car hunting a lot easier for me :D

First of all I am so sorry for the late reply... I don't know how I missed the notification for new message. In my last reply I said that 2.0 CR is 140 Bhp but I recently found out that only AT is 140Bhp and MT is 110Bhp in spite of being the exact same engine.

L&K does not have folding mirrors. And about the features over Elegance I'll tell you what I can think of but I can be wrong in some features :

1: Power Seat for driver with lumbar support and 3 memory settings
2: Heating Front seats
3: Sun Roof
4: Bi Xenon Headlamps
5: I think only L&K has ESP
6: L&K has 6 CD changer with 12 speakers
7: L&K has 6 or 8 Airbags where as Elegance has 4
8: Not so sure about Traction Control
9: Not sure if Elegance has TPM (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System)

Wow, thats a lot of features, Specially the ESP. And if you have enough time, you should take pictures and post all the features in your LnK with description on how it works and how useful it is. If not only for me. It will be useful for many who are looking to know :) .
