Fitting led strip inside car dashboard

Hello all modders. I want to fit led strip inside dashboard so that when the car door opens, it glows.
I have maruti 800.
I want to do it on my own but dont know how to do and what all things to buy.
can someone please guide me which is the wire on which i have to connect the led's.

first,you'll need some stuff-
Led strips,
Led controller
wires
fuse and holder
tools like strippers, screw drivers etc.
some wires.

your best bet would be to tap into door dorm lights.

but how to find which is the door dorm light wire?

multimeter and some spare time?

rather ask a mechanic to install them. worth the cash.

HI, I bought this item(link:4 x 3 Blue LED Car Charge DC 12V Interior Floor Decorative Atmosphere Light Lamp | eBay) a few months ago in white colour which is just plug and play via the cig lighter 12v socket. working fine till date.
