Truck Rear Ended My Swift VDI 2012

Hi ,

I have been busy with work lately hence could not reply you all earlier.

Anshuman8 : Car is Repaired but very unsatisfied with maruti Service Centre .
Parts like Rear Bumber , Boot Door , Boot flooring , Boot plastics and the metal at the rear between Rear door and boot ( Name of the Parts unknown ) have been changed , also the tail lights , Driver Seat and many other unaccounted plastic fibre parts which were damaged with the boot have been replaced .

My car pieces were cut down like the flooring and the rear metal ( name unknown if someone knows please share as per me they might be called rear fenders but i am unknown ) almost half of the car and new parts were installed.
also Front bumber and bonnet were replaced & Repaired respectively due to small scratches and dents on both which had previously occured .

After the accident my car was at the garage for 1 whole month. and i got back on 24th of Feb 2013 . since the accident my car now rattles more ( Very frustrating ) , boot wont close properly like it used to . and the worst part is the hooks where car parcel tray sits. i have 2 speakers installed on there which uses those parcel tray hooks , these hooks come out of their place revealing the inside wiring. because it comes out of its alighment , the plastic rubs with each other ( Picture Given below )whenever i hit a bump making a kriking annoying sound .

metal parts like Rear door , the boot , bonnet and the bumper ( it is all they have replaced ) are not perfectly fitted back to their rightful place properly.
hence the door looks like it is not closed perfectly it is slightly outside not fit in its place perfectly .

Also the paint job done to the vehicle was pathetic . there are hand prints on the paint ( which can only be seen when the boot door opens ) and a few droplets on the paint.


I managed to get some work done when i got the car delivered. but ever after complaining and torturing them with my work . the vehicle was still not perfect.
Hence i said to myself " Welcome to Maruti Suzuki Family " and let go of the stuff .

Today when someone else sits in my car they Complain about the rattling . and i end up asking them to never buy a maruti suzuki car ever .


Friends my statement with you will be the same , never buy a maruti Suzuki car . their Cheap Quality will Always HAUNT you .

As for the repairs i was charged 13k . but the bill was made of 65k .

I have been charged 20% on metal and 50% on Fibre parts .

I have now opted for 0 Dep Insurance of Tata AIG . costing is too much but being a Maruti Suzuki , i think it is mandatory .

Sorry to hear about the unsatisfactory repair job.

IMO rather than being silent, capture the issues through your lens and shoot out a mail to the Customer Care. I am very sure that they will come out with a fruitful solution to your job.

Quality job is your right when you are paying for it. Dont remain silent on the matter. Such dealers must be dealt strictly so that they do not spoil the owenrship experience of the customers.

Please post some pics of your car after the repair.

If you are not satisfied with the repair work , I think you can escalate this to Maruti.

First and foremost just try forget this whole accident.

You should have given the garage strict instructions not to cut metal joints. If joints are cut value of can depreciate a lot 25%.

Regarding poor painting, rattling and other issues, I suggest u to visit Marti site and lodge a strong complaint. Within 2 days the service center guys will come running to your place.

I feel the service center charged you way too much. you should have taken a quote from 2-3 places then decided. ? Maximum I feel you should have played from your pocket is 6-7k

You should have bargained hard. Anyway it's a learning experience. When the service center calls tell them that they have to paint and give you again. Monitor the job yourself if possible. Make sure they have a paint room

I can completely understand the ordeal that you have had to undergo. Beleive me thank your stars and gods that all of you came un-hurt

I have been into sales of Tata Commercial Vehicles and very much understand the magnitude of loss and damage a speeding or uncontrolled TRUCK can cause [frustration]

Also i can understand your frustration with the service center guys, but beleive me at this point in time you should be very very thankful that only the car was damaged in the accident...

Cars can be repaired and restored and sold out my Friend, Human life just cannot be replaced or restored


Cars have spare parts - Humans Dont ... Always remember that [:)]

Hello Jatin,

I do agree Maruti Suzuki is over hyped and its parts and service quality needs a lot of improvement.

Every service center has MS Regional Territory Manager's number displayed. Please take a note and call that person ASAP. Report every detail to him as he is from company and not the dealer. If things still not done as per your standards, PM me for head office contacts.

Hello everyone ,

Thankyou for your suggestions and advice . I've spoken to a.s.s manager and also maruti suzuki area branch Manager . They say I should be thankful that the a.s.s I am visiting is very kind enough that they are listening to me and helping me with this issue. Other a.s.s won't even bother to respond to my queries .
As per the uneven fitaments of boot door and read doors is that they cannot be resolved coz they are fitted once cannot be changed .

I did mail maruti Suzuki but the same area manager calls and answers are all the same .

No solution to my loss . I'll have to live with it.
Again I'll reiterate maruti suzuki service is pathetic .their response is good but service is pathetic . Hence a big NO to maruti hence forth
pay more and cry for once rather than pay less and cry daily .
