If priced properly, India will be greener very soon!

But Prius is more advanced than Hybrid civic which was launched in India so the costs will be high & the CBU import duty..so again the car will be 20 lakh +

Anyways at least they are coming up with a great product.

Prius - A Success or a Failiure?

Toyota Prius is a Good Car, But will it be successful in India or just another flop like Honda Civic Hybrid or Maini Reva Electric Vehicle?

Introducing such car in a developing market like of India is a sensitive task. Again, As a Completly Built Unit (CBU), It will be Higher than many C segment luxury models + The design of Prius is Cross-Over, Here what believed is - Small Price = Hatchback, Big Price = Saloon and this thingy lies somewhere between.

Any ways, It is going to be interesting to watch how Toyota handles their first this type of attempt in India. I wish all the luck!

I actually hate the way it looks. But then the aerodynamics matters, so its ok.

Earlier Prius came in sedan version, but now they come in Hatch version.

Toyota Kirloskar Launches Prius Hybrid!

Surprised? But this is true. Toyota has launched the Prius Hybrid cross-over hatchback at the on-going Auto Expo in Delhi. It is available in two variants which wears the price tag of Rs.

26.55 lakhs and 27.86 lakhs​

respectively.

Pricing of Prius can not be digested at once but the car will be a looker when running on streets by ones who really care for environment or maybe rather more for exclusivity!

yeah..prius looks great and even in golden color of which 350Z posted pics on old pages. this is a full sized saloon cross over but success @ Rs.26 Lakhs is doubtful !!

Agree with Umangat 26 lacs even i too have doubts about its success. About the looks i find it very attractive but looks a bit similar to the ANHC when viewed from some angles.
